  1. Keep R1T After Warranty or buy new one

This is my plan as well. VIN 2488 and I’m at 61k miles now. I like *this* truck too much to get a different one.
  2. Heat aint heating

I’ve experience the same recently… definitely seems software related. I normally use the Auto setting and I’ve found that turning that off and then back on seems to get it heating again.
  3. Brake Pad Replacement Cost ?

I’m at 61k miles and fully expect 100k out of these pads based on how little wear they are showing so far
  4. Miles at 70% charge dropped with new update.

Just noticed this on my truck as well. Previously stated 203 and now 199 at 70% ā€˜22 R1T large on 20ā€ AT. Interesting.
  5. Rear dampener needs replaced, just past warranty

I can tell you when my airbag blew the truck was still drivable riding on the bump stops, no limp mode. But not a pleasant experience.
  6. Rear dampener needs replaced, just past warranty

This was my logic too when I considered upgrading to Gen2 this summer. Ultimately I stayed with my ā€˜22 and I’ll be hitting 60k miles this week. I had my rear subframe, compressor, air lines, and a blown airbag replaced in August under warranty.
  7. Firewood capacity: 1/4 cord

I do the same with mine!
  8. The New Efficiency Graph

Sure. That’s why there’s 4 pages here discussing it. Maybe you can explain to us the relationship between my 15 minute average, the green bar, and the white dot, and whether or not I should expect to hit my estimated range based on this info. With the previous energy graph I could easily utilize...
  9. The New Efficiency Graph

It’s not. It’s basically the most recent value on the graph. Imagine that dot is drawing the line graph. So it’s both redundant and useless. The previous bar that showed impact on range was much more useful.
  10. DuckTruck

I do miss some of the original members who aren’t active anymore - @DuckTruck @ajdelange and @CommodoreAmiga come to mind…
  11. I LOVE OUR R1T AND R1S!!

I’m over 2.5 years in now, just completed a 1500-mile road trip around the Southeast with problem-free charging entirely at RAN or Tesla chargers. I passed 55k miles this week. I’ve had issues but service experiences have been good. My concerns about owning out of warranty are offset by the...
  12. Gen 1 Vampire Drain (Possibly) Solved (or Hacked)

My truck is a February 2022 build. My 12 volts were replaced in August when the alert came on, so I got right at 2.5 years out of them. I noticed an improvement in vampire drain and long sleeps on Electrafi as soon as the new ones were replaced, but it also coincided with a software update so I...
  13. Devastated… rear ended in my brand new week-old 2025 R1S

I bought a new Tesla Model 3 in December 2021. Three weeks later I was t-boned by a lady in a Tahoe who ran a red light. It took about 3 weeks for insurance to determine it was totaled after an initial ridiculously low estimate. Her insurance paid the full amount that I had paid for the...
  14. Kia EV9. What many R1S buyers would be very happy with...

Similar setup and rationale, except only 3 kids ?
  15. Need tires, decision paralysis.

I have 15k on the Toyo OC AT3s (EV version wasn’t available yet). About 5% range hit vs the Pirellis for me (2.22 m/kWh avg). I’ve been happy with them, they have gotten a bit louder as they’ve worn but nothing like the Pirellis were. Highway handling is maybe a slight downgrade vs the...
  16. R1S ownership blues... "aren't you afaid of all the ELF radiation?"

I had someone ask how I would charge my vehicle when ā€œthe governmentā€ shut off all our electricity. I replied that I have solar panels at home.
  17. Thoughts @ 50,000 miles on my R1T

50k for me next week. Love the truck, has never left me stranded, but have had numerous service issues and parts replaced. Joked on another site I’m naming it the Ship of Theseus.
  18. Your Rivian “Quirks” (Odd minor issues)

My favorite quirk in my R1T involves the rear AC. When the display shows the vents open, they are actually closed with no airflow. When I turn them off from the main screen, air flow starts. It’s more amusing to me than a bother at this point.
  19. Guide: R1S / R1T Wind Noise FIX!

Someone shared this video with me and I used it as a guide. The majority of noise I was experiencing seemed to be related to door and/or window seals near the top of the door and the smaller triangle window (which service has replaced twice already). This eliminated it.
  20. Guide: R1S / R1T Wind Noise FIX!

I put the 8mm round tubing around the inside of my driver's side window seals this week and I think I have finally resolved 99% of my wind noise after 2+ years and multiple attempts
