Amazing efficiency in rush hour using driver+

Even the lifetime efficiency is impressive on this loaner R1T.

Seems like the launch green paint might be the difference maker compared to my Midnight Black option ;)

Were you going downhill for 10 miles on a 6% grade. Can’t think of any other way to get that efficiency.

What!? Is there a ‘magic dongle’ attached somewhere or a powdered unicorn dust injector? Is it a recent VIN? That is indeed impressive. Still waiting for my similarly equipped R1T… and really hopeful for that kind of efficiency.

Not really much of continuous downhill grade. It was mixed uphill / down hill but not any sort of decent grade.

It was a basic up and down / curvy tollroad in Dallas. Watch this video from the 12 minute mark to 20 minute mark. I was stuck in that section letting Driver+ do its thing at probably like 12 mph - 20 mph speeds. Then I took the exit and use street roads between 15 mph - 35 mph.

This is a 2022 model and early VIN like less than 3000

Seems really good. I see between 2.4 and 2.5 mi/kWh (lifetime) on 21s (vin circa 7000).

Dual motor?

This is a 2022 Rivian (Illinois DL Plates / launch edition) Quad motor with like 11,000 miles on it now. I got it with 10,500 miles.

Rivian can automatically mark well used roads with GPS and determine which cars have efficiency problems from throttle, ambient temp, heating loads, etc. Will they, though?

3 miles /Kw sounds like a Musk claim...? Impressive nevertheless

Efficiency setting is great but be aware it puts a lot of strain on the front tires that are doing the pulling of this massive truck. I had not thought of the possible effect on the tires and liked the increased mileage so kept the Efficiency setting on all the time ( no off roading). I had to replace my front tires after 10,500 miles.

I've never used conserve on my own vehicle or the loaner vehicles.

At least for the 3.05 mi/kWh was on all purpose mode. The overall loaner history might have had conserve.

My personal overall history on the loaner is 2.22 mi/kWh over 594 miles using sport mode and all purpose mode.

Since I had my R1S software updated at the service center in Olaythe KS the effeciency graph is not displayed on the drivers screen. How do I get back. Also the Trip meeter is showing an average speed of 568 mph, I know these Rivians are fast, but not 568 mph fact.
