For my R1S, I see 2 options, but no max pack battery just yet. Did they indicate when that would be?

3 choices for the R1T's... no Max Pack yet.

no Standard Pack either for the dually's, which doesnt make a lot of sense other than to simplify production.

I read somewhere that the standard range battery pack, 270 miles, won’t be available until 2024.

Rivian will be motivated to offer the lower priced 260 mile battery pack once the Cybertruck goes into production. Tesla claims they now have 1.9M CT reservations.

They are building dual+large right now, but not max or standard, so of course what's available makes sense.

Meh... No point in picking dual motor with the R1S for us pre 3/22 priced people... $500 savings to lose drive modes and gain < 30 miles of range, which is do-able with conserve mode or sensible driving anyway.

I'm thinking I'm still waiting for max pack, or will see what the R2 offers. Went from initially planning on the R1T to getting a Lightning and now looking at R1S for my wife.

Every single R1T color bumps the price over $80K. I guess many folks who want the tax credit (I'm not eligible) will choose LA Silver which is the only free one and puts the price at $79K.

not sure if youre thinking this but i highly doubt your R1 reservation (place in line) can be used to get an R2 with the same place in line. you'll need to put down a deposit and get in line like everyone else once its open.

you can easily get it under $80k if you select dual motor and the standard pack. you'll just end up waiting till next year. which may not be a bad thing with the dual motor.
