I am quite disappointed how dark Catalina Cove is.
Dude, me too. Not sure why they were so desperate to have the R2 be boring colors. No Canyon red, no Rivian Blue, no Limestone, no Compass Yellow. Even the Forest Green is dark green. I would love a proper british racing green.

I just saw a CC on the road today and thought it was black. It was CC blue. I have seen it many times but lately seems extra dark. It was more seafoam blue when I saw them at block parties.

I had the exact same reaction to Catalina Cove today, when I liked it the first time I saw it. It's weird how some of the colors look great one minute and terrible the next, depending on lighting or whatever.

I was driving near an R1S recently that I thought was black. As I passed it, it was dark green. Forest Green I presume? I'll definitely need to see the R2 colors in person before deciding. I saw Catalina Cove at the block party and thought it looked perfect when the sun was shining on it, but pretty dark in the shade.

Agree. It is dark but I prefer it over the lighter Rivian blue. To each their own.

I like it in that picture too, and that's pretty much how I remember it from when I did my first test drive. Today I did a second test drive and it looked much darker than that (nearly black as others have observed). Most likely it's a full sun vs. partly or mostly cloudy thing.

Edit: I found a good example showing how it tends to look darker in direct sunlight. I would say from some angles it looks even darker than this:

That's what attracts me to CC; I like colors that are kind of shape shifting.

I didn't think this was worth a new thread so asking here.

I have my test drive tomorrow. As someone who has been excited about the R2 for years, but this would be my first EV drive (I've been a passenger in plenty), is there anything I should pay extra attention to?

Set the regen to Standard, if it's on High it will be quite jarring as a first time EV driver.

At least that was my experience, Standard took maybe a couple stops to get used to.

If you have some time, go a little early and play with the demo inside. Adjust seats, etc. That way you maximize the time on the drive instead of playing with the screen.

Ask them how to adjust HVAC , it is not very intuitive and it will be super hot due to glass roof if you drive on sunny day
