Isn’t this the same site that sparked a rumor about a Lucid bankruptcy filing a few weeks ago, which caused its stock to be halted on the exchange?

My thoughts exactly; just because it has an official-sounding site name doesn't mean it has anything newsworthy to say. The fact that the site is littered with little ads all over the place just screams AI SLOP. I have several online sources that I go to get my EV news updates, and this site has never been one of those. In fact, it was only the Lucid misreporting that I remember the site name.

If Rivian's management was so dumb to lay off such strategic employees, I find it hard to believe they would be doubling the number of cars projected to ship this year. But the next month or two should tell whether this is nonsense or real.

My take on this as well.

Hard to justify how integral your role was in the company and the reasons for some R2 hiccups, when prior to that, your division was watching over the R1 production line. We've seen how many of those had made it past all the checks only for glaringly obvious issues to either still be present upon delivery, or present themselves within the first few miles of a drive.
