Picked up and flipped, dmv final transfer later this week! VIN low 2000s panel gaps were perfect. Didn’t see anything wrong with it at all. Drives great. Owner dropped it off to get tinted and wrapped. Comes home finally later this week for them! Cheers.

18s. There's still a bunch of clearance for the wheels. I'm tempted to try a 17, but it'll definitely be tight then.

I didn't take many photos while things were set up. Roof rack is a full length cargo setup that I'm building, still have a few things to change with it..

My awning brackets were set up for the slight curve on the R1, so I have to bend them straight to work properly on the R2. I might just completely redesign it so the 270 part can hang over the back of the car. R2's tailgate comes up so much higher than the R1S that it wouldn't have worked.

Thanks for this. You should create your own camping thread as I'd be very interested in some of the finer details of the setup (awning, etc). I'll be taking mine on a long roadtrip shortly after delivery with a tent on the roof. My concern is when the crossbars will get delivered which may be post delivery. In that case I may have to pivot to camping inside the vehicle and outside on a ground tent.

I'm curious what your efficiency was with this setup? Just want to know what I'm in store for when my reservation comes up.

We stayed close, so I haven't gotten great numbers. Driving into a 15 mph headwind at 80 mph, I was seeing about 1.6 mi/kWh. Still planning on trying to make improvements on aero for this setup, just have not had time to.

Anyone else towing with their R2 yet? I need to flip my drop hitch but it did okay. Mostly 55 mph roads, stayed above 1 mi/kWh. Similar to my other EVs when towing this.
