All five newly reported VINs have 21-inch wheels. Four of the five are Catalina Cove, so the visible additions shifted back toward the Catalina Cove and 21-inch combination.

The five VINs range from 00794 to 02444. That spread strongly suggests these are tracker updates for vehicles assigned at different times, rather than one newly produced factory batch.

The Launch Green addition was also a 21-inch build. No new Launch Green and 20-inch exact match appeared in this pull.

Bottom line

Five additional VINs were reported, bringing the tracker to 80 unique VIN-assigned orders.

All five were 21-inch builds, and four were Catalina Cove. The visible additions appear to be delayed tracker updates from several different allocation periods rather than one current factory batch.

The overall tracker now shows 80 VINs among 165 unique reported orders, an assignment rate of 48.5%.

I believe fully that Rivian is giving orders and deliveries to places that don’t normally have a bunch of EV orders or sales. Idaho, Alabama above and me in SC who got an invite on day 2 to order with an April 2026 order date. It makes logical sense if you think about it. You can’t logistically just continue to shove CA and other EV heavy states with R2’s nonstop. They don’t have enough employees at their stores to deliver them all; they’re maxed out. So you want to ship R2’s to other “less busy” states to keep sales moving steadily across the country.

Agreed. Also Boise is on a rail line which i think helps alot. I am still shocked at how fast its all moving though

i Received my VIN today #3112--Esker Silver with 20" wheels. I had placed my order on June 28th. No delivery date estimate has been provided.

How was the delivery?
Delivery went smoothly! Took less than an hour. The guide helping me was a bit overwhelmed between my delivery and several R2 demos scheduled for that morning. That said, he was very helpful, answered all my questions, and walked me through the vehicle. They did a pre-inspection that surfaced a minor paint defect in the passenger door jamb, and he let me add a small paint bubble I spotted to the due bill. I'll be taking it back in a couple months or so to get that fixed. Loaner vehicle confirmed to be an R1.

Overall, the car is absolutely amazing and so fun to drive. The back window is a huge hit with both me and my dog. The ventilated seats, while a bit noisy, are incredible in Texas heat. The software is snappy, responsive, and a huge step up from any legacy automaker.

There are a few software gremlins popping up (profiles not saving settings, trouble logging into Apple Music, weird on-screen climate control behavior etc.) but I am hoping this gets fixed in the next update or two.

Just to add a follow-up. Ordered 6/24, received VIN on 7/11 and am waiting on a confirmed delivery date so I can complete the rest of the purchasing process steps. It is estimated to be the end of the July (possibly first week of August). Not a very quick turnaround to AZ compared to others I'm seeing here and on Twitter.

One data point that would be interesting to get from people is those who added the compact spare. It is part of my order and I know they were waiting on them. I believe if they are part of the order they have to be included as part of delivery as they have to update the door jam stickers when a compact spare is included to update the weight of the vehicle.

I ordered today, got vin today, paid today and got delivery date scheduled for Aug 13. What is happening? This is crazy fast.
how does scheduling work? I got VIN and did the steps today but how do I schedule delivery?

My service center setup the appointment because the car was already setup for delivery. I’m not entirely sure but it’s up to the Sales team I think. Are you picking it up at a SC or your house?

i asked someone in the showroom about adding the spare to the order vs getting it after the fact and what effect that might have on delivery and he said that they add them in the service centers and shouldn't effect timing. i took that with a giant, showroom employee sized grain of salt, but thought i'd throw out what someone told me. still think i will prob buy it on the side to make absolutely sure that doesn't slow anything down!
