So originally I had a quote for trade-in that expired on July 4th. When I went through the purchase process this weekend, at the Trade-In step, I told it to use my previous trade I had entered. However, since it had expired, it couldn't find any. It then locked me out from re-entering my trade-in info again. Someone was supposed to call me back today to reset the trade-in screen. However, I was in the area of my SC yesterday, so I talked to them and they were able to reset it for me. If you just re-enter the trade-in info when you get to that step for purchase, you shouldn't have any issues. Just make sure not to try to have it find your old one.
I'm curious how this works with 'delayed' (longer than expected?) deliveries, when my VIN assigned and all steps opened a couple weeks ago, I've already signed all the paperwork, the credit union has sent them the check, but I'm still driving my trade-in around and I wouldn't anticipate taking delivery for weeks. I'll be over 1000 miles in about a week. Hmm...

The most important report is VIN 03117. It confirms that the observed R2 VIN sequence has moved beyond 3,100 and is the first Esker Silver VIN currently represented in the tracker.

One additional June 16 Launch Green order received VIN X2617. It has the 21-inch all-season wheels, so Launch Green continues to move, although there was no new Launch Green and 20-inch exact match in this pull.

A July 9 order received VIN 02623. That again shows that Rivian is matching some later orders to vehicles that were already produced, rather than assigning every VIN strictly by order date.

The four reports should not necessarily be treated as one factory batch. VIN X1341 is substantially older than the other serials and was likely added to the tracker after the vehicle had already been assigned.

Bottom line

Four additional VINs were reported, bringing the tracker to 75 unique VIN-assigned orders.

The serial sequence has now reached at least 03117. Catalina Cove remains the largest overall group, but Launch Green received another June 16 allocation. Esker Silver also appeared for the first time.

The later July 9 order receiving an older 02623 vehicle reinforces that configuration and available inventory are more important than strict chronological order.

Verification: The state counts reconcile to 75 unique VIN-assigned orders.

So a little under 2/3rds of the California orders in our chart have a VIN assigned and just 1/3rd of the rest.

I ran the current tracker by state.

California is at 19 VINs out of 32 reported orders, or 59.4%.

All other states combined are at 56 VINs out of 122 reported orders, or 45.9%.

The smaller-state percentages are very noisy because many are based on only one to four orders. California’s 32-order sample is much more meaningful, and it does suggest California is currently receiving VINs at a somewhat higher rate than the rest of the tracker.

The small number of orders in New England, NY, and NJ is so weird to me.

Well that’s self-reported in this forum. I’m assuming in reality there’s a ton more. But at least it’s a small sample of the data.

As a resident of the northeast I’d also like to see more…

I’m also curious where the new orders are at in general. Obviously this is only a small subset, but it’s slightly curious there haven’t been a ton of new orders past the initial batch in June.

Ah, I left out the singleton states when I eyeballed it, since they didn't have numeric entries. Thanks for the more accurate percentages.
