I keep some camp chairs in the Frunk used almost weekly at kids’ sports. Plus charging gear, adapters and travel charger. And a recovery rope. Some day I’ll pull someone out of a ditch.

Since we aren't limited to Rivian owners, you should add an entry for "I'm a loser with an ICE vehicle and instead of a frunk, I have a dirty, noisy engine :("
That would be the box I check.
Just drive around with things on the hood!

I rarely use it because the rear of my S is easier to access in my garage.
I store charging and emergency equipment always in the sub frunk and lower wheel spare well in back.
When I transport my generational family the frunk is invaluable !
would be interesting to see this question stratified by S vs. T.

Interesting to see the different uses. I use my frunk more often because it's easier to access in the garage lol

Not sure this was mentioned but it’s also better for temporary storage of grocery items you wish to keep cold. The frunk doesn’t get as hot as the interior of the car.

Same here. Great mod, really enhanced the usability for me.
I keep my cleaning stuff like microfiber towels, Wash Wax, foam glass cleaner, and trash bags in the rear left cubby in the back. The right one contains all my towing stuff like hitch/ball/7-4 pin adapter, gloves, etc. Just another feature that I'm glad to see on the R2.

I use mine pretty regularly. Usually for trips to the grocery store and Target, but mostly for our leftovers when we go out to eat so they don’t stink up the cab. 🙂
This! Takeout food is the killer app for the frunk. You don't stink up the cab and putting food under the hood never fails to get attention in the parking lot. 🤣 Also the best place for groceries in the T since the tunnel is much harder to get into and load/unload. The gear tunnel doors do make a great stool while waiting at a food truck though.

As noted by others we do use it more often with our T than our S though. With the T if it fits in the frunk it's gonna go in the frunk. Unless it's takeout food with the S stuff gets loaded into whichever end is most convenient.

Don't limit your answer to Rivians only.
I'm going to, because the answers are opposite for Rivian vs. Tesla. Also, what is "use?" Having stuff in it, or opening it and putting in/taking things out? In the Rivian I have all of my recovery gear, charging adapters and EVSE, tie down straps, and a few other things in the sub-frunk at all times. The main part has shopping/utility bags, so I get them out on most shopping trips. It also has windshield cleaning stuff, and on trips it has some of our bags/luggage.

The Tesla frunk wasn't great, and nearly never used.

I keep my shopping bags and rescue gear in there so when I go food shopping a couple times per week, the frunk gets used.

Also, when my wife and I go out for meals and we have leftovers, I sometimes keep in in the frunk so the smell doesn't spread through the cabin.

I was at a Trader Joe's a couple weeks ago and as I was walking toward the store after getting my shopping bags from the frunk, a mom with her little kids pointed at my car and said "look, he gets his shopping bags from the front." The kid didn't understand what she was talking about.
