I suspect the launch will get better from here. They're doing some data collection right now based on real data and how people are configuring final orders. Always a chance this new method doesn't work well, but they are at least trying to significantly improve the experience.Gotta say this "rollout" has been pretty disappointing from a buyers perspective, even with years of experience with Rivian. They have been somewhat more communicative but still much of the same old Rivian.
The "rando late adopter lottery" is probably most annoying, along with the hype around a June 9th launch event, to then receive an email saying that you'll find out "before the end of the month" and I now have the "opportunity" to drive roughly 3 hours to have a 30 minute test drive even though there's a service center 20 minutes away.
I sort of expected better from them by this point.
