Well this is certainly surprising. Order date of 4/24/26. No previous Rivian ownership. No lease ending soon. Just a regular person with a Tesla trying to get a Rivian lol. South Carolina isn't a big EV state, so maybe they're trying to spread out sales logistically?

I don't even want the LE bc I want Forest Green and Coastal Cloud interior. Submitted order for premium trim as shown below.

LE trim says 8-12 weeks delivery if you order Esker Silver. 4-8 weeks if you order any other color.

This is incredible news!! I reserved on March 8th, 2024 but don't currently own a Rivian or have a lease ending soon...I figured I was looking at maybe late in the year for my car.

But you've made me hopeful that my number might come up sooner rather than later. I do live only 15-20 minutes away from a Service+Demo Center.

As a SC resident with a day 1 preorder and current R1S is owner that ain't heard shit, I'd say it's more likely that you just got incredibly lucky.

People spent almost 2 years trying to decipher how people were being called.

RJ also said in one of the latest YouTube videos, I think Kim Java's, that they have an AI model that forecasts demand for all trims that will be very accurate shortly as people are invited to order.

So I am telling them I want premium trim and coastal cloud, which will then feed their AI data model. They can then figure out what to produce and when. There may be less LE trims built if the take rate is more for the premium and standard models - as well as people waiting for coastal cloud interior, forest green and borealis paint. I imagine a lot of people are going to get order invites over the next few weeks bc they need the data.

They also heavily pulled up the borealis paint and coastal cloud options to the next few months after everyone was like "wtf we have to wait for 2027 for these options?!?"

I didn't want LE so I'm not "taking" anyone's spot anyways lol.

How are people "telling" Rivian what configuration they want? I have a reservation and it allows me to play around with configurations, but how do I "tell" Rivian which configuration I want?
