I dont believe this was previously posted but out of spec reviews did a video on the new Rivian specific sunnypilot fork for Rivian called adventure pilot. Lots of good information - although true to form for Kyle its long.

Unless you're running angle-based hardware, this is what everyone should be using instead of vanilla Sunnypilot or Openpilot.

With the angle-based harness (mine gets here tomorrow) what build do you suggest?

Stable → installer.comma.ai/xnor-tech/rx
Based on sunnypilot's latest release. Pick this if unsure.

Latest → installer.comma.ai/xnor-tech/rx-dev
Newest features (off sunnypilot master-dev)

Source → installer.comma.ai/xnor-tech/rx-master
Bleeding edge, not prebuilt and not tested. For devs.

All channels stay in sync with sunnypilot.

Isn't that the development branch? I thought ap-staging was more stable? E.g., adventurepilotdev/ap-staging Any reason to go with staging over dev?
Not sure, I haven't used it myself yet - but that's the link that Uncle Tony recommends.

I have the standard OpenPilot harness. I've been running Sunnylink since I got my Comma 4. Today I installed the mr version of AdventurePilot. It contains additional MADS modifications. Once I've had a chance to drive on it, I'll post some feedback. I also swapped to the Darksoulsv2 model.

AdventurePilotDev/ap-dev-mr

Some details on the MR changes in these documents (from the Discord channel linked in the video)

I've not been too interested in the Longitudinal harness because I'm pretty happy with the factory cruise control. I also like seeing the cruise control settings on my dash display and being able to adjust them.

The angle-based dev model is massively jerky. Often, slowing down to 1mph causes the vehicle to violently jerk back and forth. I'm done with the xnor branch for now. Just installed AdventurePilotDev/ap-dev-mr. Hope I can go back to torque-based steering. Diving straight into a high curb was the last straw for me. hope it gets better...

What build were you on? The low speed wobble issue was resolved in rx-smooth which was merged into rx-dev a few days ago.
