New Set of Wheels - R1T TriMax Storm Blue

I am very excited over my new set of wheels. I love the Storm Blue and Slate Sky interior. Picked this up yesterday in the Richmond, VA service center. I live in Southwest Virginia, and Rivian sightings are rare here, so I’m happy to help the cause. I did join the Rivian Clubs of America the mid Atlantic chapter. I am interested in adding a RTT soon, so I’ve been reading all the posts related to that, but haven’t yet decided on which brand. I welcome any suggestions and must haves. I plan to purchase cargo crossbars from the gear shop. I have a Owleys Dog Car seat cover on the way for the back seat, I like to take my Rottweiler everywhere with me. I bought the Owleys hard bottom dog hammock for the back seat. So far three days of ownership and zero problems with the new ride. I have gotten tremendous valley over the past couple of months with the content on the forum. I’ll post more about my experiences, interested to receive my first software update, I am currently on 2025.10.30

I too scoured these forums for months before purchase but unfortunately I had one of those nightmare delivery experiences I prayed I wouldn't encounter and my vehicle is in service now. I feel like 90% of people have a smooth experience and 10% of us hit a snag.

I grew up in Roanoke, which I think is in your neck of the woods. People from there have great taste!

Yes, I “grew up” in Botetourt County and now live in Montgomery new VaTech.

Welcome! I'm one of those rare sightings here in Cburg. I'm still surprised at how few Rivians there are in the NRV.

I'll be adding another R1T to the roads in the NRV soon! (And to Lynchburg for my daily commute...)

We ordered an in-stock R1T Dual Performance, Max Pack, in Forest Green on 5/20/26.

Has the "Roadtrip Package" which includes the XPEL stealth factory wrap, a must for me. I had my Mach-E PPF'd in the front and it's saved it from so many rock chips. Not to mention how much easier it is to scrub away bug guts without worrying about scratching paint. With a 45 mile one-way highway commute it's a lifesaver.

Richmond says it's still in Normal, with an estimated arrival in Richmond on 06/05, but I doubt that'll hold, but fingers crossed.

I actually see quite a few Rivians on 460, especially more recently, and they always look great!
