There is no current dip. It’s the RIVN $11-15 cycle. Been doing it for many quarters. My buy point is 10.5-11.5. Sell point is 14-15. Rinse and repeat.
I've noticed that too. Played that game for at least a year on TSLA when they were doing 250 to 300 back and forth. Right now I'm just holding RIVN because when the R2 hits the masses, it's going to moon from a short squeeze.

It's all going to boil down to price, price, price. Model Y Standard is now $39.9K, the closer Rivian can get to $40K the better as the R2 will be a far superior/more capable vehicle.
5k isn’t gonna sway people away from an R2. The model Y is stale and small. R2 is larger and is an actual SUV. It’s gonna slay the model Y.

Then Rivian needs to get to work making them, the "stale" Model Y only sold 1.09 MILLION units last year and took 1st place as best selling vehicle in the world for 2024.

It’s quite a feat. Amazing what you can accomplish when there isn’t much choice.

Rivian is working. R2 will come out next year and R3 in another year or two. Meanwhile they have plans for an R4,R5 and R6.

Tesla is resting on their laurels. Their US EV market share went from 49% at the beginning of the year to 40% now. When R2 is released you will be able to see how many people wanted an actual SUV. The model Y was the best option for a time… that’s changing fast

It seems it will never happen in the US, no RealMan(tm) would ever own less than an oversized pickup.
That's me. I love my R1T due to the company and the product, but I miss the size of my Silverado so bad. I'd be begging them to take my money for a full size Rivian truck.

May I ask why? Those things can't even fit in an average parking spot. Was it the bed size?
I would like a larger bed because I cannot fit a bike in the bed with the tonneau cover closed. (I can but have to take the front wheel off.) Other than that, everything I have wanted to haul has fit.

I love the R1T, and it fits in my garage.

Parking spots are bigger in Texas. That was and is never a problem.

Mostly I want a bigger back seat so that I can have four adults comfortably on a trip across the state. For me going to work every day, it's all good, but when the family needs to take a trip, we use the Model S for more legroom, but I would much rather drive a truck than a car. And there's other things like my large coolers won't fit in the bed with the tonneau cover on and having to lay down large suitcases rather than set them sideways takes up too much room for other things when we go on extended trips during the holidays and need room for Christmas presents and air mattresses and sleeping bags for Grandma's.

And I will admit that there's a lot of "manly men don't drive 3/4 size trucks". It's all in my head. But it's there.

I measured my Rivian next to a new Silverado, and it was larger in nearly every measurement than the Silverado. This is what sucks, I want my truck to be at least half a foot smaller in most dimensions. The Rivian looks smaller so a few of us decided to take an actual tape measure to it.

The bed obviously is shorter. That’s one reason why the Rivian’s cab is so much roomier and more comfortable.
