Any creative roof rack setups for weekend getaways?

Plenty of people aren’t interested in a rooftop tent, but they would still like a roof rack for weekend gear (cooler, duffel, awning).

How have you guys been utilizing the additional space up there and how are you tackling mounting and modularity?

T-slots, L-track, molle panels, ratchet straps?

Call me a hack, but it worked. Camping trip to Nova Scotia. When the tailgate is closed truck bed/box is secure. Tailgate open and we have access to supplies.

Have previously used a Harbor Freight cargo rack, but it's almost completely full once you put a spare tire/wheel in it.

I got a cheap roof box rack from Amazon and then attached it to the crossbars. Then I got a kayak lift and mounted above in my garage so I can put it on and take it off easily. Works for me!

Nice! I've seen steps like that marketed to the Jeep crowd. These ones look pretty sleek though!
