The update is nice for the charging but I'd REALLY like something better than Off-peak Charging or Daily and Weekdays.

Ideal would be Custom - As I normally charge my car on certain days and my wife on other days. I'm actively working to automate all of this based off my excess solar production, but was really hoping I could finally use the car schedule vs my EVSEs.

Otherwise if you're a standard home user w/ no solar etc this is a really nice feature to ensure you are using the cheapest power.

So all this charging update and no departure charging.... You have to be kidding me. Give us something we can actually use that has value!!!!!
Improved autonomy capabilities have value. Improved sound quality has value. Departure charging would be great, but dude, this is a good update.

Mine is installing now. They are really cranking this one out quickly!

Isn't the feature just in addition to typical charge scheduling? You could still set it to charge at specific times, but this feature just takes that a step further to keep it within that off peak window?

This update literally is giving people value in the form of lower electricity bills.
I watched the video. This function should be valuable to those who are not aware of the best time to charge based on your utility provider rates. I already know the best times to charge, or believe I do. I guess the Rivian app will confirm the best times if my utility provider is one the Rivian app will recognize.

A smarter and more cost-effective way to charge
I guess I should probably watch a video or something, but can anyone explain the benefit of this "for dummies"? From literally day 1 I've had TOU with our electric co-op. It's five cents at night and 11 cents during the day. I had to call them and request it (otherwise it would be a flat 9 cents 24/7). Obviously this is a big difference so I just use the scheduler in the truck to only charge at night. Plug in whenever, it turns itself on and starts charging when the electric rates drop, and stops when they go up again. I've actually got a lot of my household appliances on a scheduler to take advantage of the lower nighttime rate.

Seems easy enough. If for some wildly hypothetical reason I needed to charge in the middle of the day, I'd just turn off my scheduler.

So what does the new feature add? Almost makes it sound like it's going to "know" who your electricity provider is, and "know" when they charge the lower rates? 🤷

I did notice that mine had a "Summer / Winter" setting. You MIGHT Need to go in and change when your power company changes time of year. Xcel (Colorado) changes back to Winter Oct 1st plus they're doing Peak power from 5pm - 9pm... 2hrs later start 2hrs later end, gotta make that money when the sun isn't shining.

Is there an official place to submit a bug report?

I found a minor one in Apple music that is quite annoying, but probably doesn't impact a huge number of people. Apple music will no longer play music that's part of my library, but not purchased through Apple. For example, CD's I purchased and uploaded the music for just freeze (even if it's available in Apple Music). They had worked up until the last update.
I send it in the Rivian App. It’s on the main screen click on the car icon at the bottom and then scroll down and there’s a link to “Share Feedback”. I actually shared the one about adding more standard equalizer settings for Pop, Dance, Etc and that we should be allowed to save custom settins. And it looks like they added it to this next reLease. Don’t know if it’s a coincidence or they actually read my feedback. LOL.
