Apple Watch As A Key works great on Gen 1 with WAAK app

I got the WaaKey app downloaded directly to my APPL watch ultra and successfully paired with my gen 1 R1S. But how do I set up the action button to lock/unlock? Will this only work in BT proximity of the vehicle? I don’t want to inadvertently press it and unlock the car when I’m not anywhere close to it!

The "action button" would be something like a Siri shortcut which is separate from waak app and the Siri shortcut (just like Rivian App functions) requires both your device (phone/watch) and the vehicle to have an internet connection (typically cellular).

Waakey experience...
I had Waakey installed on my ultra watch and loved it. BIG MISTATE when I uninstalled the app for some other testing. First it was a real pain to realize app could only be I stalled via you watch, phone app re-install is not an option. Thought I had solved the issue getting app reinstalled but now my Rivian see watch key as another phone key and setup in the Riv interface fails with no pair prompt on phone or watch. Have wasted hours resetting watch, reinstalling app, resetting phone, resetting info system, resetting entire car.....NOTHING seems to work and there seems to be no app support anywhere. Very disappointed as I have a Gen 1 and really liked using Waakey. Anyone else having same issues or have advice on getting it to work again?

Yes mine went Kaput many month ago and the developer quit responding or updating

Mine is still working. Haven’t had a need to try to get support, but if I did and nobody responded, I would cancel my subscription.

Mine is still working except my complication for battery % is stuck at 15%. Too scared to uninstall it as it’s working fine otherwise

I messed with mine for about an hour and got it working again. Not sure what I did but I think it had to do with the 2x verification.

Gen2 uses a different ble flow, which has yet to be reverse engineered
