Did you read what I just wrote? There is no personal cutoff date. When you sign the purchase order, you agree to the trade in and the price. The handing over is whenever the other party wants to happen. Period
So you’re acknowledging that Rivian is still giving you significantly more time than is standard. But you’re ignoring the question. How long after the 30 day expiration date, do you except them to still honor the offer? How much time is long enough to appease you?

Again, did you understand my last post? Rivian did not give me anything. The moment I sign the purchase order, I expect Rivian to honor the offer, and I expect the truck to be in their possession anytime they want to take it. You're choosing to not understand this so don't expect me to explain it the third time.

Rivian will absolutely honor the offer… in the 30 day time frame they gave you. I very much understand you believe you’re special and Rivian should make exceptions for you.

Happened to us too, trade-in value quoted got reduced by $7k for a R1S 2023 Quad Large (22K miles) incidentally also on Aug 8. Making us ponder - if trade in values are falling that much……
What value did they give now?

It would make sense if the price change is reasonable. But loosing 10% in a month in my case and 20% in nyckkr's case seems ridiculous. Don't forget I didn't choose to wait for weeks for delivery either. I know the delivery will take longer but so does Rivian. It only makes sense in exchange for me patiently waiting for the delivery, Rivian to offer some stability. Of course reasonable depreciation for the trade-in is to be expected, but the key word here is reasonable.
These values fluctuate monthly. I requested a trade-in estimate for my vehicle with carmax awhile ago. I would regularly receive emails with adjusted estimates (sometimes lower, some higher) from Carmax. IMO, these values change based on market conditions.

Human communication is a miracle. Perfect communication is a perfect miracle.

I can understand OP's position, based on their prior purchasing experience with other companies.

I can understand Rivian's position, based on the apparent wording of the purchase contract.

I hope OP and Rivian can reach a good understanding and move forward.

Best to all!
