When I enter my trip from San Diego, CA to Escalante, Utah ABRP wants to send me to Tesla charger rather than Rivian Adventure Network. I have to override the trip planner onboard to go to known RANs. anyone have an explanatio?

I find the same. While I like abrp when planning a trip I often cross reference with multiple sites for planning--tesla, plugshares rivian etc.

I would like to be able to add my own charging stops. When I highlight a charger in abrp I can add it as a waypoint or navigate to it, but I can seem to tell it that that is where I want to charge even within a few miles of what it has selected.

Hopefully I am doing something wrong and spmeone here will help..

Either works just as well. I usually just pick the next charging stop that I want and don't rely on any software to tell me where I should stop. Seems to avoid these issues.

How do you have your charging preferences set? I haven’t told it to avoid Tesla, but have several other networks ranked above it. I still get Tesla charge stops, but only when they’re much better than the other options.

I noticed ABRP choosing Tesla chargers over RAN, but in my case, pretty sure it’s **slightly** less driving

Why not just take the recommendation, buy a membership, and save 20% on charging over the course of your trip? ABRP is trying to save you from being price gouged at the RAN's by Rivian.

I have a standard trip I take frequently. There are Rivian chargers on one side of the road and Tesla on the other. It used to automatically pick the Tesla, now it automatically picks the Rivian. I didn’t change my options nor priorities. I just manually click on the Tesla and add it to my route to override the auto-picked one. With my Tesla membership it’s 42¢ at Tesla vs 62¢ at the RAN. Isn’t it great now the issue is finding the charger with cheaper prices and/or better amenities rather than just finding any charger at all?

If they are across the street from each other…do you really need to select the other one? I mean…you’re not going to offend your route planner by going to the other side of the street.

Haha -- in this case, you are correct. The Rivian nav shows how many are available and kiddos this updated. By selecting the right charger I kinks how busy it is. In this case there are 84 chargers and I've never seen more than 20 in use at one time, so it is not important here.

When driving the Tesla it does matter as there are two different Tesla locations and I want to use the one it doesn't pick (most of the time). Since FSD is driving, I want it going to "the right one."
