Kammok x Rivian Crosswing Awning Launched on Kammok

The Kammok x Rivian collaboration awning announced yesterday launched early. Rivian has yet to update the Gear Shop, however, Kammok has updated theirs. The Rivian version is $1300 ($200 more than the standard) and comes with Rivian specific mounts. Aside from the mounting hardware the awning has no marketed differences from the standard option.

I like the ease of use, but you pay for it. My 270 awning was half that price for 4x coverage. If they do the bundle with poles and shade I might pull trigger for R1S baseball/softball games etc.

The Kammok is probably my 1st choice for an awning. A 270 awning seems like overkill with the lift gate.

However, I'm not sure I'd pay a $200 premium for "custom" brackets when the originals look like they'd work just as well:

The biggest thing is I'm not sure I can justify the range hit when I'd also be carrying a RTT.

Awning needs to be higher if you're ever places that don't have level ground. My biggest issue with ours, and why I have it 6-8" higher than this one is. Sure, you can put the car into a higher suspension mode, but then it makes accessing things more difficult.

The shape is slightly different. The ends are oval like the Rivian headlights vs more rectangular on the non-Rivian version.

Looks like you can use referral points. I put it in my cart and went through check out and it gave me the option to use mine.

I somehow don't quickly have a good pic of it open on my truck. It's excellent for the price with lighting etc, but a little bit of a pain to put up.

I’m all for supporting Rivian… but their markup is a little crazy on some of this for no added value.
When I log into Facebook I get barraged with ads for very similar or better awnings for 1/2 or 1/3 the price.

I've used the Yakima Slim Shady pull out awning and it works easy on the Rivian crossbar mounts... less than $500! Not certain about the feature/quality difference between it and the Kammok, but that's a significant price difference for the same functional performance.
