I am curious to hear what real owners are experiencing. I have a launch edition R1T on 20 inch wheels and am considering upgrading to an R1S Tri with 22 inch wheels, ideally the range wheels. I know there are a ton of variables that impact range, but would love to know what actual owners have seen in their driving. Anything close to 370-400 miles in a full charge?

Remember - those epa range estimates are a mix of driving; not all highway; certain temps and probably at lower speeds than most drive on the highway. And most don’t drain to nearly 0 miles.

With that said, I’m guessing somewhere around 300 -325 of usable, real world mi because we’re getting around 285 when climbing up into the mtns in 30 degree temps (basically sea level to up and over 7k’)

I would compare this to our Range Rover: sometimes when I fill its tank, it’ll say 405 or 410 mi on the dash, but it’s usually good for 300+

I should have included... that's driving the trips in conserve mode and with 20's/snow tires (which i think take a hit vs all seasons)

My overall average on my dual performance with 22s is 2.4mpkwh. I guess that would include vampire drain. I also live in a city with lots of stoplights and drive a lot of short distance. I get EPA 2.6-2.7 driving the freeway speed limit of 65-70mph. The Tri should be similar as is won't be using the rear motors much.

24' R1T(6/1/24), 25' R1S Tri-Motor(12/20/24)
I picked up a Tri-motor R1S on 12/20/25 and drove home 300 miles and managed 2.21 mi/kwh going 75 in conserve mode on the freeway. Temperature was around 36F most of the day, and I had the heated steering wheel on, heated seat at the lowest setting, and cabin temperature set at 74 the whole way home. The winds were moderate and the elevation changes were from 110’ to 3000’. I had to climb Snoqualmie pass and another climb out of the Columbia gorge as well. From that point, it was a steady climb in elevation back home to around 2,100’. I also have a 2024 Gen 1 R1T performance DM with 21” wheels, that the R1S easily matches its efficiency for the same route. However, that’s based off of summer conditions with the aero covers on. If I were to guess, I would say the Gen 2 R1S, is more efficient than my Gen 1 R1T is for the same route. I’ll know, when I have a chance to drive the R1S in the summer on that same route. For the performance and efficiency, I would take the Tri-motor over the performance DM any day.
In any case my opinion only, Gen 2 blows away the Gen 1 overall. I don’t like to drive the Gen 1 over the Gen 2. I know, it’s not exactly the same with the motor configuration, but that’s not the only piece I’m talking about or referring to. Just feels better in my mind. I can’t wait to dump off my Gen 1 when that time comes.

Hope this helps

All I can tell you is that mine says 249 mile (62% Soc) for daily drive. My daily commute one way is 54 miles so total 108 miles. Every day I arrive home with 137 miles left in my truck vs 141 miles. So loss of 4 miles. This is including driving above listed speed in morning and getting stuck in traffic in evening. So pretty much efficient. Conserve mode, 22” range, Tri max R1T. In AP mode I am getting little different now I have to charge to 70% (249 miles) and after 108 miles I have 117 to 127 miles lest. Haven’t done any long trips so far. 1950 miles on my truck since 31st dec. 2024. 2.17 m/Kw and going up. Loving the conserve mode so far for efficiency.

270ish miles in all purpose. Close to 300 in conserve, which we only use for road trips.

2025 R1S Tri
I have a 2025 R1S Tri with 22" Sport Dark wheels. For me, the car reports a range of about 350 in AP and 400 in Conserve. In reality, I think I get 350 in conserve if it's actually all highway driving in the mid 70mphs. In mixed use, I think I get pretty close to the car's prediction (350 and 400).

In AP mode, if I do my mostly highway 38 mile each way commute, I'll end up using about 90-100 miles of range (but only actually have driven 76 miles). If I do it in conserve mode, I've actually used slightly less range than the actual 76 miles.

At the moment, my car is reporting 195 miles of range at 55% charge in AP which works out to about 354 for a full charge.
