Has anyone given the GY Wrangler T. HT a go? It looks to be a solid option for highway AS tire, I think it also may get similar high efficiency as the Michelin Defenders/general grabber HTS60….
@Bdigs - welcome your input as always since you have the inside scoop…I suspect it’s at least 5% more efficient than the AT version.

Goodyear uses the Territory line for Original Equipment tires for a variety of vehicles. Goodyear works with the auto manufacturers to dial in the design to meet the project goals for that vehicle. The 275/60R20 Territory HT would likely perform well on a Rivian, but I would still recommend the Territory AT designed specifically for Rivian. There are a lot factors that play in to tire efficiency. Tough to say if the the HT would be more or less efficient than the Rivian AT.

I'm not sure where they got some of their data. There are a wide variety of tires in the Territory HT, all of which were designed for different OE vehicles with different project goals.
I can’t imagine this tire has high RR….shouldn’t the AS tread be more efficient than AT? Shouldn’t it also be more efficient based on several other factors? Seems like a decent option worth exploring…

Both tires likely have good RR. The tread compound has a large effect on RR. The tread depth also has an effect. The tread pattern has a lesser effect.

@DayTripping has a great thread about the GY AT.

BTW- @B Digs designed the tyre so he knows what he speaks of.

Goodyear
Glad you like it. It has been a little bit stream of consciousness as I went through my decision making journey to buy them instead of the Michelins. I've posted some of my efficiency numbers as well as my subjective thoughts. So far they have worked well for me. As I mention in the thread, I am not someone 100% foucsed on efficiency. I value traction higher than efficiency but I don't have a total disregard for efficiency. They have been surprisingly efficient given the type of tire they are.

I have to say @B Digs and the Goodyear team did a great job with the tire. What I appreciate is Brian has a Rivian and is eating his own dogfood. That is someone who is dedicated to his craft.

Is there a specific Territory AT for the Rivian?

I am confused and want to make sure America’s Tire/Discount orders the right ones for me.

Yes. It says RIV on the sidewall.

It will be the Goodyear Territory AT 275/60/20 116H. Make sure it is the 116H and you are almost certain to get the right one.

Sure look like them. I'll loop in Brian to make sure. @B Digs - can you confirm these are the correct tires on the GY site?

@Bdigs might have more detailed insights, but overall, the Territory HT seems like a solid choice for those prioritizing highway driving and efficiency."
I believe the Territory HT is a 115 load index, which is less than the recommended 116.
