I called Tire Rack and got on the list for some Michelin LTX MS2 275/65/R20. They said the Dec 1st is a soft launch. They said their order is scheduled to arrive on Dec 6th. I also called Michelin and they said it is a soft launch on Dec 1st and distributors should be receiving them about two weeks later. So they should arrive soon.

Really really looking forward to these tires finally arriving. Best of all worlds.

Can't wait to see the efficiency vs the OEM Pirellis.

You answered yourself. But the ability to user-adjust software’s tire size parameter is supposedly coming soon in ‘25.
I recall reading somewhere that the 275/65 will be optimized for EV use. Can anyone confirm this? Or should we expect it to be the same exact tire in a different aspect ratio?

Ordered a set of 4 275/65/R20 Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 today in Costco! I’ll post how they are after I install them.

Why not ask Michelin and get official statement?

Tire companies can easily say their tire is "EV-ready" (example, Nokian nAT), as long as the tire in question is stout enough to support the heavier weight of EVs. That's different from a tire that is specifically engineered (and tested) for weight, torque and efficiency (aero & compound) needs of an EV (examples: Toyo OC ATIII EV and Goodyear Territory AT RIV).

I don't see them on Costco's website.

I didn’t either, but they had it at the store computer, perhaps these are different systems. Mine were ordered for a 12/4 delivery.

Let us know how they are. If you can, do an efficiency run before and after. I’m planning on switching to them the same day I get my R1S.

Anyone with the 20" (don't care if it's 60 or 65) M/S2's have pics of what your R1 looks like with them mounted? Curious to see how these look vs the AT tires.

Sorry, I was looking more so for a zoomed out picture, not a detailed one.

Not helpful to you, but just wanted to echo how frustrating it is on this site. Everyone seems to take close up pictures of the tires instead of a full view of the vehicle. Makes no sense to me. I can see what the tire itself looks like, I wanna see what the Rivian looks like with those tires!

Thanks. Now do factory wheels. :p

In all seriousness, these look ok. Not as good as AT's but functionally they are better if you're not going to off road them...which I'm not. Curious to see what the Nitto's end up being in 275/65/20 116H but I think these are now a leading contender especially given they perform better in the snow/wet than the Toyos supposedly do.
