I understand the curiosity. But these kinds of polls lead can people to believe all sorts of things that may or may not be true.
  1. What percentage of owners are registered users of this site?
  2. What percentage of those that are registered, respond to the poll?
  3. Do registered users of a certain age respond more often or not than user of a different age?
  4. Can meaningful information be derived from a self selecting poll?
Any predictions on how long it will be until someone on and/or off the forum uses the resulting stratification to support whatever argument they are trying to make? :)

You must be really fun at parties…

just kidding, good points

I preordered when I was 36, took delivery when I was 39 (month and a half away from 40)

So because the bulk of my Rivian Life was in my 30's, I chose 31-39 ;)
I was thinking the same. Took delivery not long before my 39th.

I recall early on when we used to register preorder on the Admin's spread sheet for head count and compared to actual Rivian delivery numbers indicated that those of us on the forum represented something like less than 5% of Rivian owners. And now that Rivian is relatively a common vehicle, the interest in the general public is less so we're probably smaller than less than 5% today.

Since it requires one to be registered herein, which means one wants to have unnecessary interactions on a continuing basis online makes us a very small sampling compare to the total Rivian owner population. The results are maybe at best.

That said, it doesn't take a poll to figure out that larger percentage of people that can afford $80K+ vehicle skews towards older age group (meaning mid to late 30s onwards and taper off towards post 70 yrs - fixed income and loss of interest).

Also, many Gen Z's are not interested in driving as much as the previous generations. In fact many delay getting their license well into their 20s and is perfectly fine without it. In other words, the desire to own a vehicle, any vehicle is less.

If Scott Bakula replies to the poll, he might skew it a bit at this point.

Bit of Quantum Leap if you think he's got time to do a poll.

Probably not the typical demographic: 35, married, no kids.
I have to admit I am surprised by the number of 30-35! I thought I'd be alone in that category. 31 no kids either

Not that surprised when I think about it. At 35 I dropped $35k on a boat and bought a new F-150 to tow it. Adjusting for inflation, that’s $60k for the boat, and probably $70k for the F-150. And I had 2 kids…
