Took delivery today of Rivian #5.

Tri-Max
Storm Blue
Ocean Coast
22” Sport Dark
Black Crossbars

It’s a beautiful color. Pictures truly don’t do it justice.

Punch Items
- Have a slight dent in driver door. So slight you can only see from a certain angle with the sun hitting it. We had a hard time finding it again…will open a ticket and it was noted on delivery ticket. Looks like a door ding.
- Have a slight dent right behind driver side rear door where it curves to the window. Ticket opened.
- 1 clip for weather strip was broken. Ticket opened.

General Observations
- Panel alignments are perfect.
- This is my first Ocean Coast. Feels more luxurious than Black Mountain.
- the driftwood is completely different looking in person than what it appears to be online. As someone else commented, it has a lot of
Blue veins in the driftwood. I think it would be better without the blue veins…but we will see if it grows on me. The bronze accents actually work better than I was thinking from the other online review. My only comment and suggestion to Rivian is they should show more of the real finishes for the Interiors. I had no idea it had bronze accent until the video posted the other day. (Unless I missed it in the build notes)
- Love the plaid on the seats.
- The plaid floor mats are interesting…was not what I ordered…but before mine was built they killed the heather grey. No communication on this until I asked once Richmond sent me pictures before delivery.
- First Enduro motor R1, drive around the block was smooth and quiet. Les’s motor noise compared to Gen 1 Quad.
- AC is much quieter. (About 82 in Raleigh today)
- Did not play much with the dynamic roof yet…it’s like you are in the clouds when activated.
- did not play with Audio system yet.

Richmond SC
- Bryce and the Richmond team have always been great to me. Overall, great at communicating and flexible when I ask for pictures once they receive.

I leave to go out of town for a few weeks tomorrow so for now, right into the garage for a hibernation until I return. Will probably have more to say once I get back and can play with it some more.

I'm not trying to be nosy or anything but I'm curious why you have acquired so many Rivians. I know they are cool vehicles and all but 5 is a lot!!!!

Sorry…one other item.

I was surprised that a key fob was not included in the Ascend trim…
There are no fobs for any Gen 2.

I have a T and S at each house. The Tri was a launch day order that actually came in when they estimated ?

I’m considering trying to develop a ragtop retro and it would take one of them OOS for a while if I did that. Still thinking the design of that through.

fabric based sliding sunroof. If you have seen Jeep wranglers in the last few years, the soft sliding roof is basically a rag top.

Awesome vehicle and color choices. If I had my pick that's what I would have over my Gen1 R1S. However, I'll love her for about 7 years and then pass on to one of the kids once they have kids (damn I'm about to get old lol).

Enjoy, people give me looks about 2 R1's, lol.

There are plaid accents in more places that I expected before seeing the guys review with the white one the other day.

those are good with me. The mats are just weird.

Will be replaced with all weather at some point.
if your looking to get rid of the plaid mats, I’ll swing by and grab them. I’m in the Raleigh area. ?

I have had a few inquiries on the plaid mats (what am I missing??) ???‍♂

Once I get some all weathers, I will most likely list them. Will be a few weeks before I am back with Stormy-boo-boo. ??

Will post them at that time. Since they appear to be a hot item…..Starting bid will be $1 with a reserve of $113,000. (RIS not included). ?

Seriously though….will post when I am back.

Looks great! I hope you enjoy... Every day that I open the door to Ocean Coast, I am just blown away by it. It's mind blowing to me just how well it holds up to daily abuse.

I am sure one day you will be able to buy from a certified collision center….they will definitely get access to them.

I will say….while we all know they were keeping with the yellow theme, the builder system didn’t show the yellow behind the door badges and I was happy to see that continued.

I have those emblems on my Gen 1. Abstract ocean was selling them for a bit before Rivian sent them a C&D.
