The iKamper arrived in July and the first week of August we headed to our usual spot in Door County, WI. The inflatable memory foam mattress, which never deflated, was a major hit and the overall comforts were our daily coffee chatter between my wife, me, and our two pups.
I was impressed with the lack of range impact (yes, hard to believe no noticeable range impact) with an RTT connected to the back of the truck. The dogs slept every night in the truck's bed under the RTT and were blissful in their "cave".
Several people have asked if the iKamper was worth the price. It is costly, and it works great. We slept very well. Never an aching back, butt, or anything remotely sore. I do want to point out that the videos of setting up and tearing down the iKamper in less than 2 minutes are a bit misleading - they do NOT take into consideration that inflating or deflating the awesome mattress takes 6-12 minutes depending on your firmness preference.
Another awesome feature of the Rivian is plugging in an electric blanket for the cold and chilly nights - we were never uncomfortable when the temps dropped.
We kept the R1T and RTT setup as our home and did our driving around in the Tesla.
We will likely start building our new home at this location within the next couple of years. But for now, the R1T and the RTT combo are damn impressive and we are looking forward to expanding our trips to other locations.
Other equipment we used daily: ZEF EV charger, Starlink, induction plate, mini fridge, EcoFlow battery packs, portable solar panels, ENO Hammock + tripod stands, REI folding chairs, small folding table, large plastic area rug
