??Share Your Favorite Songs With Dolby Atmos??

I finally got the update this morning and spent about an hour in my truck listening to some of my favorite songs again. I thought nearly every song sounded better, but some of the Dolby Atmos enabled songs were comparable to sitting in my living room listening on a nice pair of open ear headphones. I’ve been a long time Apple Music user and not all Atmos songs are created equal. Some sound absolutely amazing and others actually sound worse somehow.

Share the songs you thought sounded best since the update! In my first hour using it I thought these 2 sounded outstanding:

1. Neil Young: Heart of Gold
2. Rage Against the Machine: Fistful of Steel

Jane's Addiction sounded fantastic but off.

I think Dolby focuses lyrics to the front center speaker which seems perfectly logical when watching a movie (i.e. drive-in movies will be killer in my R1).

The issue I have is without the visuals (i.e music video or someone on stage), it's off-putting for the words to come from essentially the car in front of me if that makes any sense. Stopped it's ok, but driving it's off-putting and I had to switch back to regular surround. With this lyrics come from the front speaker blended with left and right to some extent not locating the singer in front of me but around me. I'd probably get used to Dolby so I may try again.

I feel the same way, maybe I’m just old. I think I like the regular stereo for music more than Atmos, but I am trying to give Atmos a chance. I think Atmos is “neat”, but not sure if it’s better, for music.

I agree it does sound like the lyrics are mostly in front of you, but I guess that makes more sense to me than if they were behind me or off to the side. I was parked while I was listening today so maybe it will feel different when I go for a drive??‍

lol man, you do you. it's your playlist, shouldn't matter what others think if you are enjoying your music. sometimes it's just easier to hit skip on a playlist instead of trying to scroll to a specific song while driving.

Not a fan of either artist, but if you want to hear the capabilities of Atmos, these are a must. Make sure you listen to the Atmos mixes, there are non Atmos versions that could pop up in the search.

+1 for Rocket Man, definitely a “whoa” moment the first time I played it in the car.

I know it's not Dolby Atmos, but Everything In It's Right Place by Radiohead is a great track that shows the improvement with the update IMO.

Added playlist to my library, there was a lot of good songs to listen to from your list! I'll start on my commute in the morning.

Don't have the update yet, but if this is on Apple Music (and has Atmos) it's probably the first track I'll try. Nice spacious clean track, with left-right panning. Easy to isolate the instruments/frequencies and hear differences.
