Good location, but a bit distant from main roads (I-90). Even though Ellensburg has a Tesla Supercharger, that is the most "central" location I can think of. Not sure if they'll ever finish the planned one in Lynwood. Another good option perhaps the Summit at Snoqualmie.??Where would you Like it in Central Washington? My pick would be the Wenatchee area.
EA Sucks Balls. Yesterday coming back from Bellevue (to Yakima) my Nav kept routing me to EA chargers even though I "filtered them out". The 3 locations (yes 3!!) that I stopped by were full or not working. Thank GOD for the Tesla Supercharger in Cle Elum. I won't use them unless someone puts a gun to my head.Nice
When will Rivian fix app nav to show Level 3 chargers correctly. Why have one filter for 50-150 and another for 150+ but they cannot be selected at the same time.
EA chargers capable of 350 only show up in 50-150 filter.
I have no idea what is going on with Burley. First, tesla puts a bunch of chargers (in a great spot) right off the freeway, and then...decides to put another 12 just a few miles away further in burley? What is going on with Mountain home that has been "pending" on the supercharger map for 5+ years now?I-84 has very little DCFC so this is a happy addition.
There’s already an EA charger in Burley, though, and it’s in a pretty good spot (near a convenient store and good dinner) as well as being pretty reliable in my personal experience. It would have been great to have this 50-80 miles on either side of Burley to help spread coverage around. Once the RAN buildout becomes more complete I’m sure these locations will be perfect as an overall system, but I’d prefer minimizing dead zones to be a priority.
EA has been great for me traveling the east coast from PA to NC - no issues at all and charged well.EA Sucks Balls. This is all hilariously accurate, but that Burley RAN permit was filed years ago, when it seemed unlikely Tesla would ever open their networkI have no idea what is going on with Burley. And then...Rivian decides to put another 6 chargers DIRECTLY NEXT to the bank of superchargers in the first burley location? The weird part of this...is that those superchargers are v3 and support non-tesla charging already, so...once you have the adapter, you could have just used the tesla chargers instead. There are big charging deserts in idaho that still desperately need something (like...stanley area) but why is Burley so overbuilt now?
Good points about permits...I shouldn't give Rivian too hard a time, and good news about hailey ran site (there is a single DCFC charger in Hailey right now that I'll be using next week which hopefully works when I'm there!). It still means I have to drive the long way round from Boise to Stanley (through hailey/sun valley) instead of through Lowman/grandjean but at least should be possible. Now, getting to grandjean might still be impossible in my Rivian/tesla. Burley is also the last place with enough grid power before the long stretch into Utah. The Snowville Flying J is getting NEVI chargers soon which will also help the stretch before Trementon.
Re: Stanley, the Hailey RAN site was approved by the town a few months back and I expect that to be the second Idaho RAN site live. It would be great if Stanley would eventually get a smaller 3 stall site like Olancha.
EA has been hard to work with on most of the West Coast, but we got quick reliable service from EA in Minnesota and South Dakota. Montana had one very slow EA charger in Billings, but EA in Montana was otherwise fine.EA has been great for me traveling the east coast from PA to NC - no issues at all and charged well.
Yeah - I’m driving from Nashville to Portland next week and driving central Wyoming is always fraught as it’s a DCFC desert.I-84 has very little DCFC so this is a happy addition.

Note, there is no way to 'filter them out'....my Nav kept routing me to EA chargers even though I "filtered them out".
When you’re charging in Hailey please let us know if there’s any work happening at the RAN charger site there. 207 North Main Street.Good points about permits...I shouldn't give Rivian too hard a time, and good news about hailey ran site (there is a single DCFC charger in Hailey right now that I'll be using next week which hopefully works when I'm there!).
