the jury is still out there about the total weight of the wheels and tires has better efficiency. I'm running the Atomic wheels combo aw09 and general grabbers 275/60/20 HTS60 has total weight of 66 lbs which is much lighter than stocks 21" OEM. So far, my efficiency is about the same or even slightly less than my 21". Although, I have not tested in long distance trip yet. I have about 1000 miles on this combo.

Wow - surprised! So many variables!

Looked up the specs and both 60 and 65 are within a pound of each other. Probably because the 60 is an XL and the 65 a SL.

Wow, I didn't know they made them in 33" Let us know how the efficiency runs on those!
The XLs, yes. SLs, not so much.

Yeap, XL is 33", costs a good $250 less per set, and shaves a pound per tire. Got mine from tire rack, here.

No idea if they will have the same efficiency as OP? Put 600 miles on them so far. Will report back at 1K miles.

Joined team grappler yesterday. Went with 275/65/20 in the SL. TBD on mileage. Initial thoughts are that they feel softer than scorpions.

To be honest more interested to see how they do in the snow. Just drove back from mammoth in storm Friday with 0 issues and according to discount tires I had 4/32s left on the scorpions. Put 23,050 on them thus the switch to something else.

Those probably have stiffer side walls, which is a good thing. I love the SLs because they are so soft and quiet, but for spirited drives, they are a little soft.

How has everyone’s wet performance been? On nittos website I saw a lot of reviews where they said they were a great tire but once it gets wet they’re sliding all over the place.

Not enough to be sure. But will keep an eye on that.

So I think HA might be slightly *less* efficient because it adjusts the wheel more often, but it would be by such a small amount that I don't think it would be measurable in normal driving.
Good point. I hadn't thought of that.

My lifetime average on OEM 20s is 1.8. I mostly drive in AP like a grandpa; 60 percent city driving versus highway. I can't imagine how people are getting 2.0 and over on OEM 20s.
How much of that mileage was at speeds over 65 or 70 mph? If most of your travel is on highways over 70 mph (even if you drive conservatively), your miles per kWh probably won't be great.
My lifetime average is 2.18 (more than 19,000 miles) on 20" AT OEM tires. Some of it (generally only on freeways) is in Conserve. The vast majority is in All Purpose. Some small amount is in Off Road, or is pulling a 4'x8' cargo trailer.
Edit: Most of my driving has been in southern Arizona - warm temperatures, and relatively low altitudes (~1000 feet). R1T QM with RUS and closed tonneau cover (almost all the time), and carrying (many hundreds of pounds of) tools and supplies (almost all the time) in the frunk, gear tunnel, bed, back seat, and even the front passenger seat. I also have cargo bars and a basket over the bed, much of the time.

Does it make a difference on noise or efficiency on which sidewall design is on the outside versus inside?

Thanks for all the tire information on this and other threads!

I think wind is the most important variable. Sin

Anyone in here currently running this tires 275/60/20? Maybe my next set after the HTS60 grabber is running out.

That's me. I am running with Nitto Recon Grappler XL in 275/60/20. They are ATs. So, they certainly won't be as efficient HTS60.

Will report back with some stats at 1K miles. Give me two weeks? But, preemptively, not as efficient as the 21" Pirelli AS (expected) ... not sure where they sit in the ol' AT hierarchy. Need more data.
