There will never be a retrofit of existing vehicles.

The Ford rollout has been a disaster? The adapter is free. Free!

Is it a disaster people have to wait 6 months for their free stuff? Not IMO. I can go buy an aftermarket adapter and start charging on the SCs instead of waiting for my handout if I want. Mine is supposed to be delivered in April, and I think I can wait. If I didn't want to wait, I would order one from A2Z.

I really hope Rivian does waves of invites based on delivery date so earlier deliveries get their adapters first (and I'm saying this as a late 2023 delivery). There's nothing as annoying as being on the back of the line because they happened to open the order portal while you were randomly on a long bike ride, in the Antarctic, or getting open heart surgery.

Those who are waiting six months placed their orders after 50,000 others had already placed their orders. You really think 50,000+ adapters should be available in less than six months? Maybe. I guess the alternative was delaying the announcement until they had 100,000 adapters in the warehouse. I am glad they didn't do it that way.

I wonder how this will impact Rivian? If they are coming from the same source, it may be a long wait. I would head over to A2Z and order one if that happens.
