Then the Ranger and Maverick are the same size so there would be room for a smaller Rivian truck. The Maverick and R1T are already awfully close in size. Not sure how much smaller a pickup can go. There are some good comparison shots here:

Damn, so no hard-top convertible then ?... RJ says; "And as we look at the launch of R2, learning from what we went through and launching R1 with R1T, R1S, and also the commercial vans, all in parallel, we've really simplified the product portfolio cadence with R2, where there's a single vehicle that we're launching. The number of build combinations and trim combinations is very limited, with an emphasis on managing rapid ramp-up of the supply chain and driving operational efficiency into the R2 plan."
Lol! that thread was funny. The Maverick and R1T are already awfully close in size. Not sure how much smaller a pickup can go. There are some good comparison shots here:

Because it looks like it will just be called the R2. People who have brightened up some of the images released so far have noticed that the badge just says "R2", not "R2S." Even though it is clearly an SUV, thus should be "R2S" by their R1 naming convention.OK thanks I was hoping that it would be revealed at the R2 reveal. btw why don't they just call it the R2S reveal then?
It WAS funny! "Rivian looks like it needs glasses."The Maverick and R1T are already awfully close in size. Not sure how much smaller a pickup can go. There are some good comparison shots here:
