It's a compact air horn with two trumpets. The cylinder is the air compressor and it needs its own power. If factory horn moved locations, and the aftermarket bracket can still be used, probably just a matter of extending and routing wires to reach factory horn.I've got a lot of questions like:
1) Why is there a separately fused power lead? What's the current draw of this additional horn such that it needs its own fuse?
2) How does this install on different model years of Rivians where the horn is no longer in the drivers side wheel well?
3) What's the install process? From OP's video it looks like it requires removing the frunk which is much more involved than going in through the wheel well liner.
Answering questions in private messages seems like it's doing a disservice to the rest of the community, especially for a post that's currently a highlight at the top of the forum.
I figured it was something other than a standard trumpet horn, hoping to see some more product specs soon! It's a compact air horn with two trumpets. On second thought... based on how it looks, it might be the single tone version: https://wolo-mfg.com/horns/air-horns/model-619-big-bad-max.htmlI figured it was something other than a standard trumpet horn, hoping to see some more product specs soon!
The Company can better respond to some of the but you do remove the frunk. It is not hard. The worst part was the drivers side LED harness because it is strapped down tight. Once I realized pushing on the clip with a small screwdriver kept the clip depressed it was easier.I've got a lot of questions like:

The wiring harness is already made so you don’t have to source it. It has a bracket so you know it fits. As stated above, I think it’s an air horn so it is loud in a way I doubt a second hella would be.@RealWheelsEV guys, apologies in advance for putting you on the spot here but what does your horn product offer above and beyond the DIY installs already posted by @Nuclianba @flush @CTRedCanyon (driver side stock horn location) and @HaloEyes @SPITmadFIRE (passenger side stock horn location)?
Also, will your bracket/horn fit in the passenger stock horn location?
This rules out all new builds since late last year, to be clear. The horn fits into a little space rearward from the original horn, so I am thinking the install will be the same across model years (as long as you have a horn on the drivers side).
Totally agree that a compressed air horn is going to be significantly louder in this application. I'm always glad to see more products hit the market! The wiring harness is already made so you don’t have to source it. It has a bracket so you know it fits. Mine was built May of 23. Did they change the horn location again? If yes then I’m guessing it would be the same install with a longer connection on the Y-connector.This rules out all new builds since late last year, to be clear.
December 2023 built R1S. Horn is on the passenger side.Mine was built May of 23. Did they change the horn location again? If yes then I’m guessing it would be the same install with a longer connection on the Y-connector.
An air horn with its own independent power source is very cool. Already thinking of customizations ?Totally agree that a compressed air horn is going to be significantly louder in this application. I'm always glad to see more products hit the market!
I wonder when it changed over? I’d bet RealWheels will want to know that!December 2023 built R1S. Horn is on the passenger side.
