I’m curious how you got the information that Rivian owners love every aspect of their vehicle.
By the response I have gotten it seems that way. No one can give critique without an attack.

I said it correctly. I want Rivian to change their stupid headlights!
Anyone willing to bet they are going to change the headlights to something more standard?
Yep, I'm willing to bet they will not..... because I know something you apparently don't, lol.

The shape of the R1 headlights runs deep in the core ethos of the company. It was stated in an interview that the designers were trying to come up with a unique headlight design that would speak to the brand ethos of "Adventure". There was a carabiner on the table that sparked the inspiration for the headlight design, and that design pattern is used elsewhere in the vehicle, specifically the key fob and the tie downs. The headlight design has deeper meaning than BMW's iconic kidney grille or the Ford Mustang tail lights.

I would be extremely surprised if they changed the basic design on the R series. It's about as likely as:
- Chevrolet ditching the bow tie logo
- Porsche ditching the iconic 356/911 family design pattern
- The United States replacing the Bald Eagle symbol with the turkey.

Only if you think the headlights are the only feature to like or dislike.

I did not know they tied the headlight shape to other parts of the vehicle. Interesting. Thank You. Much better response than what I got from the others.

That is the only thing that personally dislike. Everything else is great in my opinion.

Wow! Rivian owners sure are sensitive. I do not like the Cybertruck either. Just saying they only thing that is keeping me from getting the Rivian is the headlights. Don't kill me for my opinion.
My comment about Tesla owners being hypocritical to other manufacturers styling was about Tesla vehicles in general, not the cybertruck specifically. I think its hysterical you won't spend the money on a Rivian, but were ok with what Tesla's look like and were comfortable buying on of them, even though they look like what they look like. I think Tesla vehicles in general, are among the most bland, ugliest vehicles out there, exterior and interior. They may be purposeful from an aerodynamic/efficiency standpoint, and I certainly hope they are because of how ugly they are. My opinions about Tesla aren't cybertruck specific. Its your money, spend it how you want.

I for one have always loved the headlights and the entire front end. So many trucks and SUVs and even some cars have such menacing, aggressive-looking fronts, and I think the Rivian's front end is a breathe of fresh air. It's like the front is smiling at me, and the headlights are a big part of it.

I bought a Model S, which I think is the best looking out of all the Tesla's. I purchased it before the Rivian came out. Never said I wouldn't spend money on a Rivian. I would really like to get a taller ev for ground clearance. That is why I am interested in the R1T. Also, you are generalizing Tesla owners. I am not part of a Tesla cult. I do not get in a tizzy when someone says something about Tesla. I could care less. Why do people get so defensive. It is like I said something about their kid.

You literally called me "sensitive" when I said something about your choice to buy an ugly, bland at best, tesla.

The more I look at this the more I like it. Not sure how to do the same on a darker color. Maybe a light colored vinyl to contrast?
Would be interesting to see someone try that. I think the reason most non-Rivian fans like it because it makes it look more like a conventional front end. What their brains are programmed to think is normal.

On a darker color, would definitely break up the front end and distract from the headlights as it would be intended. But would certainly be more of an after-market look where as the black on lighter colors, many may think it's just how it is.
