I've long considered trying to get a 3D scan of a surviving EV1 and re-shelling some other EV, but the scope of work is beyond anything I'd be willing to dedicate time to.

I feel for the couple with the crappy Tesla Model X. Been there, done that.

P.S. Yes, that is duck tape covering the windows. The car would randomly open the windows on its own, and since Tesla took 7 months to pick up this POS lemon, I put in a tiny amount of effort to keep the rain from getting inside.

I played that weight savings game until I got a little older and realized I’m trying to shave ounces off my bike and accessories while I am a 220 lb diesel engine. I was good on the velodrome but not in the hills. If they start holding races on the moon I will get back into it
