underseat storage ought to fill in just fine for a glovebox.

You should probably go to the rivian factory to check on the, uh, product integrity of the Yakima tents ?
Trust me, we are on it!!!

Yep

Edit: I was thinking about the Yakima accessories, not the bars themselves. Others have since addressed the bars.

Are you asking if Yakima developed the crossbars? If that is your question, no. They were developed in house.
I thought the crossbars were co-designed/co-developed by Rivian with Yakima? I recall reading that Yakima was directly involved with them.

No. I asked if Yakima is making them for Rivian. I’m aware rivian designed them.

I don't believe so...considering when they first started showing accessories on the R1T they were Thule/Tepui...

Side bets the wind noise is unbearable while driving on the highway with the bars in place? No vendor seems to care about testing that or making sure the bars are not noisy.
The bars on my SUV have not bothered me. It's certainly not as quiet, but is is not "noisy".

Possibly but noise is drag so I would think they would have made them as aero as possible when designing them which would reduce the noise being generated.

Bigger question is they are designed as quick release, why would you leave them on when not in use? I take them off my Jeep and only have them on when I need to use them and they are not quick release.

No wind noise.
Concerning the aero question, please remember that this is a completely new design from what Yakima has produced in the past.

Yakima does in fact make the bars.
