I just waited over two hours to get snow tires on my RS1 and I had to supply them with my one puck which makes for slow going, one wheel at a time. Apparently (at least according to my Costco) corporate headquarters is dragging their feet on providing sufficient pucks (minimum 4) for working on Rivians and doing whatever else corporate needs to do to make Rivian a welcome brand at Costco. I contacted customer service and politely suggested they "giddyup!". If anyone else wants to chime in with a simple "Please outfit your tire centers with the appropriate tools including pucks that fit Rivians" her is the link: https://customerservice.costco.com/app/answers/answer_view/a_id/9/~/contact-us#:~:text=

You can always go out and by a set of four yourself, they aren't that expensive.

I'm sorry? And then what, donate them to my local Costco? My thread was about encouraging Costco to get with it for the benefit of upcoming Rivian owners.

No, keep them for yourself, but make them available for them to use when they do your truck. And you can keep them in your truck for other shops you may use also, if needed, like if you got a flat somewhere while traveling. Sure, it would be nice if every garage had a set, but the reality is, EVs still aren't super common right now. It is part of the growing pains. I haven't used Costco for tires in about 15 years, after I got a set of 4 that were dry rotting.

That's exactly what I did when I swapped out my AT tires for Michelin Defenders. It's good to have anyways especially when I go back for tire rotatations.

I like the idea. We should include language that they need to carry the tire sizes.

Is there an email link or just the chat? I don't see the email link but if we can make this a quick two click thing we can probably get the whole forum to do it

I contacted Costco through their chat feature because apparently they don't do email. And yes, carry the missing sizes for Rivian.

It would be cool if you also pointed out that 115 load rating should be fine too. That's why I didn't get my snows mounted there. That and the TPMS I bought were rejected by them.

Tell me more about this rotisserie goose...

I don't trust any tire shops. (Except Tesla)
I have never had any garage lift my Tesla in 9 years.
I have them mount the tires (separate set of wheels) and change them myself with my own jack and pucks.
(Too many bad experiences... Suspension damage and air tools damage lug nuts and don't torque them properly... Plus, no waiting)

To each it own but seems like a lot of work. How old are you?

It would be great for Costco to stock them.

But can we all agree that the trend of designing vehicles without built-in Jack points needs to die?

Needing to buy expensive custom accessories just to put a jack under your car ranks as one of the dumbest design decisions anywhere.
