Per the video, the cybertruck went off the road, but then struggled to get back up. They commented the software governing the lockers wasn't functioning, but also highlighted the lack of recovery points on the vehicle. I assume they tied up to the lower control arms.

Is that a piece of twisted metal in the foreground of the first pic? And if so, did it come from the Cybertruck?

Wow never thought about recovery points. I figured they had them somewhere to attach.

I'm going to be honest I think with the people buying these there will be a lot of them stuck in places where they are not prepared such as this with full pressure tires thinking that the software will just figure it out.

Again it doesn’t appear they aired down at all. That would have helped quite a bit in that situation. No traction boards or anything to help them in these situations

**edit after watching the video a second time I see a recovery board poking out of the original, deeper hole they were stuck in (far left). Who knows if the tow rope and board were on the CT or the recovery truck…

I hope they continue to take the roads less travelled. At least the roads less travelled by me, since just looking at one of those things makes me ?.

They didn't air down either. But I suppose since they don't have a way to air back up, I shouldn't be surprised by that.

But hey, at least they didn't slide down the side of the mountain though, since they had open diffs.

Could an R1T climb up that hill? How about a standard truck with 4WD low?

No idea if the CT has a simulated 4WD low or rock crawl mode. They seem to be spinning their tires quite a bit.

In an identical situation? I could probably make it up that hill but you sure are going to struggle attempting to drive straight up it from a dead stop in any vehicle. Drive level to get your speed up and then turn up the hill.

"No clue how he was so far off trail”

It was a big tree and I’m not lugging it up the hill. I have a CyberTruck for that??

There are going to be so many videos like this of morons in Cybertrucks thinking that they are now offroad demi-gods because their vehicle is apocalypse proof.

I can't wait to see my first video of a Rivian doing an off road recovery of a Cybertruck, for the memes.
