Rivian Vehicle Ramp Up is Evident // Denver RSC

The Denver RSC is 5 miles from the house, and I have lurked there regularly for 2 years.

It is hard to describe the steep ramp up in Rivian vehicles on their lot, but in early days 20 Rivians was a large amount.

As of this morning 11/9/23, there must be more than 125 Rivians and vans on the lot. They are parking well outside of the new gated area all the way out to Steele Street.

Pretty solid barometer.

Rivian recently opened the Denver experience center. They're planning a second SC for Colorado and according to this recent article Rivian registrations/sales in CO are surging:

The Colorado Springs SC is is either already open or will open any day now. The thread for it had someone indicate they'd scheduled an appointment for mid-October.

I just picked up my R1T from there on Tues. I was shocked at the amount of vehicles when I pulled in. The purchase guy I was dealing with said, "yeah, they just keep dropping them here on us."!
The amount of them I'm seeing around now though, I guess it's no surprise.
He also told me the Denver area has more per capita than anywhere else in the country.

Sorry to report that the replacement powered tonneau covers are NOT yet available as of 11/9/23.

They have reportedly been prototyped and completed at Normal, but are not expected to arrive at RSC's until January.

Rivian's are basically the perfect EV for Colorado. Makes sense they are selling here so well.

I saw a guy under a tarp with a shopping cart in that little walled in weedy area just south of the service center when I was there in June. I would have said hello if I knew it was you!

Agree. Given that the vehicles showing up at the SC are linked to a purchase, it is a very good sign that demand is strong in Colorado. On the other hand it may also indicate a bottleneck in rate of daily deliveries.
It's not so bad in November, but I get nervous seeing this many exposed Rivians during thunderstorm and hail season. I think it would be a wise investment to install solar canopies over the lot.
As a side note, and I don't know if this is just coincidence, but last month just after the Colorado Springs SC opened, I saw the first Amazon EDV in my neighborhood in Monument. I wondered if they were just waiting to have the closer SC to start using them in the C-Springs area.
