What's the official top speed for this model? I keep seeing numbers ranging from 110 to 130 mph.

Always has been 110. Dash will display 111 or 112. An update a while back corrected the accuracy of the speedometer down from 115-116 displayed but it was still limited to 110 mph.

Huh... thanks! Interestingly enough, prior to this saw more reports of higher than 120 than below that nr. Good to know.

The pre-production demo cars were programmed with a higher limit.

Hmmmm... the 1/4 mile stats I'm seeing (on production trucks) on the interweb usually end in "@ 115mph". I am pretty sure the R1T hits it's speed limiter before the finish line. No?

It sits at 110 mph for the last couple hundred feet. This is my best ET from the only time I went last year. Every other pass was 110 mph except for the one I started to let off as soon as it hit the limiter, then got back in it (that was 106)

Great post. This time slip says a lot. Let's forget the 1/4 mile time/speed for a moment and take a look at the 1/8th mile data...

0-to-96mph in 7.3492 seconds. We can only guess at how long it takes to go from 96mph to the speed limited 110. But if it does 0-to-96 in 7.3492, my guess, very conservatively, would be another 2 seconds, max. That would mean that it topped out at 110mph in 9.35 seconds (or less...); a full 2+ seconds before it hit the 1/4 mile traps.

Impressive. Very impressive.

It means that, if Rivian wanted to make the R1T quicker in the 1/4 mile, it would simply need to increase the speed limiter.

Maybe a "1/4 Mile Mode". Disarms the speed limiter if the truck hasn't been moving for a "while" (as if it was sitting in the pits). Gives you one run w/o the speed limiter, then you need to wait 5 minutes before another run. Maybe? Or if the GPS sees that you're at the dragstrip....

There is a whole lot more data on that slip, but that 1/8th mile got me thinking...
