Apparently, Rivian is planning on removing Compass Yellow and 20” bright wheels from production soon.

No way. As a new member of the Compass Yellow club (last Saturday) I cannot believe they are killing this.

RIP Compass Yellow. I sure hope something awesome replaces it and this isn’t the first step in the color selection becoming less fun. Everyone I know who has seen CY in person loves it, but I imagine the take rate wasn’t super high.

I wanted one. Didn't see one in the R1S shop and Rivian must not be building many... but yeah the order rate was 2% or less from the polls.

Yes... three new colors have been seen by an employee neighbor of mine. He wasn't 100% sure if they are intended for the R2, but being tested on R1's or they are infact something coming in 2024.

RJ previously teased two new colors Evergreen and Slate. i posted about this on IG when i saw 4 potential new colors in a Rivian video a few months back and it looked like they had dropped Compass Yellow at that time:
Evergreen - dark green
Slate - blue/grey
Sand/Tan color (name?)
Emerald color (name?)

lets see which ones make it out of testing and which make it to the R1 or R2.

My neighbor saw the Tan color, Emerald green (very dark, almost black) and a blue like Rivian blue, but closer to Teal (he described it as an electric blue)... He said it looked awesome in person. He also mentioned the R2 design studio is locked up tight. Roller doors only get opened half way when designers go in and out. Definitely a no go zone if you don't have that kind of access.

He brought home a Compass yellow recently that had the light ash interior.. Definitely a unicorn. VIN ended with XX... so it will eventually get crushed.
