The 2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre proves EVs make the best luxury cars

The motors are fed by a lithium-ion battery that lives between the axles. It has a gross capacity of 120 kWh and a useable capacity of 105 kWh, which should be sufficient for an EPA range of at least 260 miles, according to Rolls-Royce. That seems like a reasonable estimate; checking the trip computer showed that over a couple of thousand miles, our preproduction Spectre had averaged 2.5 miles/kWh (24.9 kWh/100 km), which is about what one would expect for a large, heavy EV—a Ford F-150 Lightning or Rivian R1S are in similar size and weight classes and return similar efficiency.

The Count wants to get on the wait-list...just have to check on the ability to mount a snow plow.

Rivian has much better value and utility compared to RR.

Rivian with ocean coast seats is the poor man's Rolls Royce.

I don’t think there’s any comparison to be made and I would go as far as assuming that quality and comfort are light years ahead of what Rivian can “ever” deliver.

I think some of the people here with their Rivian complaints should move into one of these for sure. I guarantee there will be no panel gaps on the Rolls.

You can also get much cheaper cars with no panel gaps. Price is not determinative on this aspect of manufacturing.

Yes it is when you’re talking about some of the minuscule gaps complained about here price absolutely is the determining factor.
