FINALLY, A CENTER CONSOLE TRAY THAT FITS "PERFECTLY"

Have tried at least 6 of these things. Just about all of them were tight on the sides and were tough to get in and out. Having to stretch the console lid doors to get them in or out. Most also had very small little tabs to hold them in place that once you drove, they would compress into the console and get sticky.

SEE MY OTHER UPGRADES INCLUDING OTHER CENTER CONSOLE TRAYS I'VE TRIED AT THIS THREAD: www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/accessories-floor-console-organizer-tesla-charger-adapter-phone-mount-bed-mat-etc.6246/

FINALLY, someone made one that is just a little bit narrower and it slides in and out without an ounce of effort! Has big tabs on the end, so it's not going to get stuck. The two above fit, but would get a little sticky trying to pull them out and felt a little flimsy with the mini-posts that hold it in.

ABS plastic rather than 3D printed so nice quality. Comes with pre-cut rubber mats. A nice looking piece and slides in and out SO EASILY. I'm finally DONE buying these things!!

I ordered two different ones. The second one didn't fit at all. I posted that link below as well so you can STAY AWAY FROM IT AND NOT BUY IT. THE FIRST ONE SHOWN IS THE ONE THAT FITS WONDERFULLY!

FYI - DO NOT BUY THIS ONE (LINK BELOW), DOES NOT FIT. I COULDN'T EVEN GET IT TO GO IN, LET ALONE, TAKE IT OUT.

EDIT: See Post #2 below. Possibly an interesting concept?

Interesting, I contacted the seller of the second one shown above. They immediately issued a refund without question and said I don't have to return the product. They also sent me three photos to show me that if I wanted to use it, it could easily pull it apart into two pieces and just use one of them.

Now I'm wondering if there's any benefit to having just 2/3rd's of the console filled with access to the lower portion of the console without having to remove the tray. Good for any taller items you want to keep in there while also being able to separate smaller items. I may give it a try.

Regardless of fit, the fact that they do not have a cut out to route charging cables makes it not usable to most. What I mean is there is a hole to push the usb cables through so if you want to lift the tray out and gain access to the bottom of the console, the cord is all tangled in the tray and a PITA to get out and set on the passenger seat for example.

You mean like this? I know that I make it and all, but I can't imagine going with a center console organizer that has to be removed to, you know, access the center console.

Sometimes I want gum or a tissue, and I'm able to reach just past it.

Very much like and appreciate this organizer. I keep a tissue box under and it’s accessible while having the organizer on top. Useful for our needs.

With the exception of the one from Twraps, all the ones I've tried have had a hole, rather than a slot cut out. I find it no big deal. The slot is a nice added touch, but not that big of a deal either way. I have a long USB cable that I just feed down into the lower portion of the console below the tray. I slide it in and out very easily as needed for use.

I can easily pull the tray out and put in the passenger seat without removing the cord. However, I find it's something I so rarely ever do. If I need something from down below, I simply lift up the tray, grab what I needed and put the tray back. Did that with the Twraps version and do the same with all the other versions I've tried.

The difference now, this one slides in and out MUCH easier than any of the other ones I tried.

I am working on a new version (to be released soon) which will fit in better than anything you've tried before, and would have the best solution for the cords (notice that part)...it will also have leather padding. Here is a preview but still work in progress. I just got my R1S on Tuesday so now I can experiment as much as I can, which is what I am currently doing :)

My problem with most of the ones on Amazon is that they have dedicated coin storage. I can't remember the last time I even had coins in my pocket, let alone in my car or truck. Get rid of those coin spaces and give me more normal storage.

Yeah I thought that was stupid too. The one I got had a non-coin version was like 4 months for delivery vs 1 day for the other.

Thanks for this, I ordered a new one because the old one was way to wide, had to cut it down to make it fit. The new one came today and fits great.

It is interesting that the configuration is slightly different from the image where the small slot by the coin holder is is divided into 2 smaller slots where 1 is a card holder.

The ones I had, both the old one I cut down and the new one, do have holes for the charging cables. The old one had one in the center, the new one has 2 smaller ones more offset to each side.

Yes, coin slots are an old relic and odd add. Back in the day you needed coins for tollbooths and parking meters but these days hard to even find one of either you can even use coins.

That being said though, having a tray at the top of that storage area does make it infinitely more usable.

Assuming it's made in China or some other country where coins are still popular?

For me, I find it handy as it gives me a place to put coins when I get them in change. Prefer not to carry them in my pocket, so lets me keep them organized. When it fills up, I take them out.
