April 27th was my birthday and team I got my best present from 1EV, my new running boards. Well I guess technically it was my second best because I got my R1T on my last birthday, but HUGE shout out to 1EV for making it happen.

So far the boards are great. I love the looks and the functionality. It is a little too early to tell, but so far I have not noticed and hit to range or any additional noise. My neighbor, who has had A LOT of trucks and running boards commented on how they seemed like a very high build quality, and even commented that the structure with tubing all around should help a lot if I ever get in a side impact.

My wife is 4'9, my mother in law is 5', and my daughter is 4'7 so they love the boards and comment how we don't need to carry a stool around to get in and out of the truck... Even my 4 year old pup (who has the same birthday as me) can now get in without help using the boards. I will try to take more pics but here are a few with some before and after.

Well done 1EV

Nice! Where did you get the installation done? I see your carpool lane stickers so I’m hoping it’s somewhere in the Bay Area? ?I’d love to get these as well for my wife and kids to have an easier time getting in.

Same, I'm Bay area and didn't consider these until I saw it. Kids and family will appreciate the step.

They have a service center in Van Nuys. Well worth the install price. But if you don't have one near you, a lot of people have installed them themselves with no problem. And they are on sale right now for $850 I believe.

My understanding is they are pretty easy to install. I just figured the company would do a much cleaner job than me and faster so I spent the money.

They have a few different threads on them here and talk about the install.

Do they give you the choices of which kind of install you wanted? Ie. Without the plastic covering or drill 4" holes to keep existing plastic cover?

I had my install at Van Nuys last week. They default to the holes which is what I wanted … the holes are really clean in my view.
