Hey all, I noticed that my passenger front hood cover closes with a larger gap than the driver side corner.

Driver side is at the right level flush with the side panel while passenger side rests above the side panel line.

In previous vehicles I was able to adjust a corner stopper by turning it to tighten or loosen accordingly. The Rivian has a rubber stopper on the hood but it’s dialed in as far as it will go.

Have any of you been successful at adjusting for this?

Look at the aft hinge…there is an adjustment bolt that the hinge rests upon when the lid is closed. One bolt on each side. This worked for me…
Thanks - I'll take a look at it and see if I can identify the adjustment bolt. Is it a matter of just tightening/loosening or is it more of a loosen bolt and then realign panel followed by a retightening?

for me it was very small adjustments to change how it sat left to right. Once I adjusted…the grey paint on the bolt is shows the hood arm hitting the bolt. Before, no mark…I don’t think the bolt was adjusted from the factory.

Is that also adjusting the gap front to back? Mine arrived with both sides at the rear sitting low relative to the fenders and the front sitting proud of the fenders. I haven't submitted a ticket yet.

If you raise the bolts to get the back of the hood higher…you might see the front go lower. Id make sure the rubber bumpers at the front are screwed tight…that’s the only adjustment I know of at the front. Mine are all the way tight…but they appear adjustable to get the front higher/level.

Thanks, mine are all the way in and the front passenger side hood is still too high. I'll adjust that bolt you identified to see if it changes the front. Thanks!

So I played around with those adjustment bolts and they definitely raise/lower the aft part of the hood (which was good because I was able to get them to line up with the fender panels correctly) but the fore section of the passenger side of the hood was unaffected. I don't see anything obvious that I can adjust on that corner so I wonder if I have to mess with the center latching mechanism to pull the whole front of the hood down closer to the body, and then loosen the driver side bumper stop out to raise that side.

When I adjusted mine, I was able to raise the rear with these bolts (loosen them).

You could always shave some off the end of the rubber bumpers if they're already screwed in all the way... you'd have plenty of material to back them back out if needed.

Having the same issue, both sides of the hood towards the back sitting low relative to the fenders, submitted a ticket after delivery.

I would have the service center / mobile tech take a swing….then this is what I would do. I’d apply a little hand pressure to make sure the rubber bumper is actually resting on the stop before shaving some off. My concern would be other seals / issues are at play and the bumper isn’t the culprit.
