Hi all,

For those of you lucky enough to already have taken delivery of your Rivian, how long did your delivery day last at your local SC? I don’t want to rush my pickup, but do have some time constraints to worry about.

TIA for your feedback!

So we got ours at the factory's delivery center. Paperwork took us less than 60 seconds. Our delivery advisor took about 20-30 to pair phones and show us the ins and outs. They'll then take as much or as little time as needed to answer questions.

Because of the 8-steps, there's not much to do in person.

You could do it in 20-30 minutes if you wanted, or stretch it out to 1+ hours if you really wanted to as well. Never felt rushed, but if you needed to do it quick they could get you in/out in 30.

I had delivery at home along with a trade-in. They ended up taking about 40 minutes start to finish including all of my questions.

My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
It was pouring when I picked mine up (do not recommend - you’ll miss stuff in your inspection), so I signed, got the keys, and bolted. Out of there in 10 mins. I would have preferred more time to walk through the UI to set things up, do a proper pre-delivery inspection (I suspect those are not as necessary as they ramp up, though), and generally get a feel for the truck.

TL;DR - you can be out as fast as you can sign and run to the truck, like an old-school F1 start.

Mine went quick, probably less than 30 minutes. It was my first EV so I really wasn't well prepared, I suppose if I had been, it could have taken a couple hours. This forum filled in many blanks for me.

Good point. My delivery guy noted I was already really knowledgeable about the UI and what to look for. So if you're on this forum, you are probably already speeding up your delivery time.

Like others have indicated, 45 minutes is probably a good estimate. The ebb and flow is based on how you want to use the time.
