9/30/2019 R1S reservation holder here who also got the email to confirm configuration, and was assigned a guide. I do notice that our “confirm” do say more about confirmation of best delivery estimates etc and don’t reference “we are ready to build”. Still, seems early to assign guides? I’m an April-June window for delivery. I’ve texted my new guide

The most dissapointing thing happened to me.

I got my email that a VIN was assigned on Dec 30th, 2022 and i was so prepared to receive delivery of the R1S in january (my guide said it will take another 4-5 weeks) since the vehicle will arrive from normal to costa mesa, CA in january first week.

I was working on the loan and insurance was almost done when i got the email today that there was an issue with the VIN that was assigned to me and it will not be delivered. The guide told me it'll take 2-4 months from now. I am truly devastated but now I see the below estimated delivery in my account, not sure what's going on

I got the email to confirm my R1S on 12/5. Confirmed the same day. Still no 8-Steps for me.
So don’t get too excited.

Got the confirmation email, I confirmed and also now have a now guide. I was excited ? until i read this thread, oh well. ?

I got the email today to confirm my R1T config — I contacted CS to ask about whether making config changes at this point would delay my delivery window — I was told the build confirmation locks in your config, but Rivian guides can make changes post-confirmation and tell you about the impact on delivery window. Besides locking in your config, confirming also gets you assigned to a guide, and their main job is to help find you a VIN and get your money. Almost there now!!

Woe is me.... I confirmed my configuration, and now on my Rivian home page I have:

"Your configuration is confirmed. Contact your Rivian Guide if you’d like to make any changes or have any questions. Before your delivery date, you’ll be able to secure financing and insurance, and arrange for a trade-in if you’ll have one."

If only I knew who my guide was! Perhaps they will contact me on Monday? ?

I got the same message today at 6 pm. I reserved on July 8, 2020: R1S Launch Edition Blue w Ocean Coast Dark Wood Interior and 22" This is to replace my R1T I just sold but miss having it a lot (AMAZING TRUCK) I may have sold it too early. Hope this means my R1S is coming soon. My last delivery date was changed many times - the last being Est Delivery April - June 2023. Hopefully, it may come sooner. I'm in Irvine next to headquarters so I am seeing them all the time....really jonesing. Good luck to you all. My guide is Zach he helped me out last time. He was a great guide.
