Based on this review, Jeep seems to have gotten a lot right with their very first EV.

If there is ever a company that is going to compete with Rivian, especially the R1S it is going to be Jeep.
So, the Avenger will be a good indicator of what they have down the line.

It is tiny. It won't even be a competitor for the R2 platform. There's a reason they aren't bringing it to the US.

How is a 2WD class B SUV competition for the R1S? It may be a great car but the overlap seems slim.

You guys take everything very literally!

This was never going to compete with the R1S. If you watch the video, they mention Jeep has three models planned between 2023 and 2025, and one of them will most definitely will be a Grand Cherokee based EV with all the offroad capabilities.

They already have a Wagoneer S planned for 2024

Count me in as a former Jeep owner who isn't going to give them the benefit of the doubt on the electrification front.

However, I think other analysts have pointed out that if there was going to be serious competition for Rivian - it would likely come from Jeep who is going to compete in the same segment.

Gawd I hate ads. Right underneath the first post of this thread was an ad for the Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I played the ad, not realizing it was an ad. And then I read the comments saying how tiny the Avenger was. WTF? Then I found the real Avenger video, and realized that I watched a Cherokee video. Sigh.

So, um, yeah, Avenger, tiny, Cherokee, an R1S competitor if they ever released an EV version!
