“Didn’t they at one point have .....?”
I just hope we don’t continue finding ourselves saying this more and more as new info trickles in.
Unfortunately it seems to have been a common sentiment with the little information we've been getting, lately.

If Rivian had good news, I wish they'd share it. The more they hold back, with the little leaks being mostly negative or at least not positive, the more I worry there isn't enough positive left to overcome.

You're definitely a "glass half empty" kind of guy. Just an observation, not a judgement.

I consider myself a realist.

Optimists do annoy me, because not everything is rosy.
Pessimists annoy me, as well, as not everything is always bad.

I look at the information in front of me and try to evaluate it as objectively as I can.

It's hard to ignore that Rivian has not shared much positive news, and the little we've heard, lately, has been negative. My realistic assessment must skew negative, as a result. It's not a glass-half-empty mentality, it's an honest assessment of the situation.

There's lots of positives with these vehicles, but I think they should be much more transparent as it relates to all details, good, bad, or indifferent.

See, I have to assume that Rivian authorised Meridian to make this announcement. So I’m really getting the sense that Rivian must be gearing up for an info-dump relatively soon
I had the opposite reaction. On January 11, Rivian effectively announced that Meridian was their audio supplier when they showed the speaker in the "Patagonia to LA to Now" video. It then took nearly two more months before Rivian permitted Meridian to issue a press release. Why was Rivian making its partner hold out for so long when they had all but confirmed the information in the video?

And why didn’t Rivian do their own press release? That’s what’s more concerning to me. They just don’t seem to get the importance/value of staying engaged with their customer base.

Optimist = glass half full
Pessimist = glass half empty

I hope they’re not dedicating resources to a September IPO, as is rumored, while they’re dropping the ball on communications to customers.

We will have to wait and see. This could be part of the explorer package Interior. The premium package could be different.

Yeap I do see their website still has
Unfortunately the website has more pictures of the outdated prototype than it does the production intent model. I was thinking just today that its pretty disingenuous of them to have so many pics of the better looking (IMO) and better equipped show vehicles this close to production, when they know that’s not what they’re going to be offering customers.

Needless to say, at this point I don’t take anything on the site to guarantee what we’ll end up getting in June.
