Iphone as a key

The blue tooth connection Rivan Phone Key disconnecting and won't reconnect. I have so far deleted and reinstalled the key 3 times. Anyone else having this issue?

Which phone do you have?

I have an iPhone XS Max and the PAAK has been quite good. There is room for improvement, of course, but it's been good enough to rely on as my daily key.

I have an iPhone 13 Pro. It's worked great up until about 2 weeks ago. Something has definitely changed. Not sure what - but it is horrible now.

Things definitely improved with the latest OTA update, but then the latest app update seems to have taken a few steps backwards. One day the truck will unlock as I’m approaching, as intended, and then the next day I can stand buy the driver‘s door for 30 seconds before it unlocks. Not sure what the fix is, but hopefully it comes soon.

Mine worked fine for the first few weeks. It's been spotty since the software update. Phone as a key should not be the primary way to get in the car. If the key fob had proximity unlock it would be so much better than dealing with phones.

I’ve only had issues with phone as a key when returning to the vehicle after a shorter period of time. In the morning on my way to work? Unlocks immediately every time. In the afternoon/evening when leaving work? Unlocks every time.

Stop at the grocery store on the way home? It will lock immediately when I walk away but will not unlock when I return. I have to open the app and use the unlock button, though sometimes the frunk button on the front of the car will also trigger detection.

I haven’t even had my truck two weeks yet so I can’t comment on any changes related to app or software updates.

I have an Iphone 12 Pro. The problem seems to have started 2 week ago as well.

iPhone 13 pro here. Agree that automatic unlock has not been working well of late. It worked really well up until a couple weeks ago and I wonder if the 1.5 app or an Apple iOS update broke something. I had to use the card to unlock on one occasion.

Have you tried unpairing/forgetting the other, non-Rivian BT devices associated with your phone? This “fixed” it for me - I was able to re-pair the other devices after setting up the phone key and everything works well now. For some reason, it seemed like it was my AirPods that were causing problems.
