Rivian Service Center- Denver

I frequently stop by the service center in Denver to stare at the trucks and see what’s new. As seen in other post, there are about ~50 R1Ts sitting in the lot of all different colors.

Yesterday, an employee came out to chat with me and “answer all my my questions”. She was extremely nice and helpful in many ways. The interesting update was that the majority of the trucks on the lot were there for servicing. She mentioned that they’re having a lot of software/firmware issues. Didn’t seem like a huge deal but she said there was no timeline to get those trucks off the lot. The majority of them are going to folks in Colorado but she also mentioned there were South Dakota and NM deliveries there.

nothing too shocking but it was good to talk with a Rivian employee and get their thoughts. Hopefully the videos come through decent here from my drop in there.

Stopped by again yesterday. Nothing new really except for a lucky customers R1T loading up on the delivery truck.

I don't suppose the folks down there in Denver would tell you what vin #'s are on their lot ? I am waiting for mine which my guide thinks is still in IL but when I changed my configuration to one of 5 vehicles available for quicker delivery there was only one Compass Yellow choice. When looking in the Denver Serice Center I noticed about 5 vehicles in a different place in the lot which all said " ready for delivery" and one of them was Compass Yellow. Very suspicious !

Interesting it probably was just wishful thinking it was mine as I have seen so few Yellow Rivians around though the one I saw looked to have the road tires which I believe are the 21's. Did you choose that color from the start or switch for quicker delivery ?

they've had one with 21s for a little while now. I had RB set UNTIL they called me to confirm, I ended up YOLOing to CY which caused a delay.

I've had like 7 blue cars, so did something different.

I think the "delivered" vehicles back for servicing are kept in the fenced area of the lot, while the ones scheduled for pre-delivery inspection and customer delivery are closer to the building... Did you see lots of trucks with temp tags or permanent tags on them? If no tags (or temp tags issued within a day or so), almost certainly pre-delivery vehicles.

All,
I can swing by today (Thursday) and do a little recon., get some pics, etc.
There seems to be more trucks in for service and with Mi plates than staged for delivery.

Got word yesterday that my pickup is delayed after they found a hood latch issue and are fixing it. Bummed but glad they caught it with the recent reports of frunk latch issues that have been reported here.

Mine is on the road from Normal IL I am sure with a bunch of others if I can believe my guide. Should be a transport load more of trucks there real soon.

I’m taking my son to the Denver aquarium today. I totally plan to stop by there and drool on everyones new trucks…. ?

I’ll keep doing so until Rivian delivers mine.
